My father lives on a plot of land which he and his brothers inherited from their parents. Problems arise between the brothers and they decide to split the land so they have each their own plot. But prior to the split my father had already built a septic tank. Most of it lies in his brother's property after the split. They all knew it at the time and were ok with it. The brother died and gave the land to a nephew as inheritance . Years later my father is worrying that the septic tank will get full one day and he won't be able to do anything about it because his nephew who now owns the land will deny him access to his property to empty it. So now we don't know how to solve this problem because my father does not have enough space on his land to build another septic tank. No amicable solution is possible because all the brothers seem to await the day that septic tank gets full so they can clap their hands and rejoice. Any advice? 😢😢

Thank you for this. I don't want a waterlogged site, but it's good to know there are ways to deal with waterlogging.

(1) 1st chamber for anaerobic bacteria grow up ,this chamber should not have light& air to breed anaerobic bacteria. Gas will be priduced in this chamer ,so that we need to make a 6" gap partition on wall between 1st & 2nd chamber. Need to install 4" dipped T on wall ,which is 4"lower than inlet pipe. (2) 2nd chamber that is design to produce aerobic bacteria,so that this chamber need light and air oxygen. Inorder to get light and air ,we need to install goose neck pipe on top cover. Need to install dipped T 4" on partition wall which level is 6" lower than previous one. (3) 3rd chamber is cear water. There will be also outlet pipe which is 6" lower than inlet pipe . Need to install goose neck vent pipe. (4) Need to install manhole on each chamber for maintenance purpose.

The maths is incorrect. 98/150=0.65s/mm In that example to water will drain far too quickly.

This is not septic tank but it was stirage tank.

This is really interesting. Ive been trying to find the most cost effective / least disruptive way of putting one of these in for my new build. I didnt realise crates can be used🙌🏻, can you point me to where the regs say this, as I thought it needed to be trenches with 1-2 meters of earth in between. Much rather do this, cheers.
