It's real indeed. Species such as this one, living in extreme and seemingly unospitable habitats and at low densities, can be called sometimes "phantom" species. They are called so because they are very difficult to detect (they naturally occur at a very low density, became very rare because of human actions,....etc).

Well said, I totally agree. Although the Moroccan Government officially banned plastic use in summer 2016 (yes, it’s 4 years ago), but I can assure you that our relationship with the plastic almost hasn’t changed in that period. It's true that some shops respect the law and don't serve plastic at all and some citizen try to minimise plastic use, however these are not enough.

@@MoroccanBirds : Bannings and laws change nothing in humans mentality. I have been to many countries, in russia you will not see the streets littered with plastic, in israel (the isarelic side) they care very much to keep clean, arabic side not so much, in cypress (greek side) they tend to be lazy but its gotten better, turkish side is a landfill, egypt cairo city hotel 35th floor looking down onto the back street, garbage dump after garbage dump - do not divert from main roads or you might end in a landfill. To be fair, europe has such trash countries too, cross the mont blanc tunnel and reach france, once on the highway, left and right trash!
