What's your suggestion? I just ordered an elx200-12p here in South Africa, I can't wait to receive it! What's your take on it? What sub can I use to get it hitting super hard? Like a 15 inch sub though. I see in this video the camera mic can't handle the pressure, that tells me these things crank hard!

Adding a black widow 18 n taking out the elx. Is it worth the change? What do u think will b better to change the elx sub to? I'd love to learn

If you change the woofer, would it be better than the qsc 18 sub?

@@lokomono89 .. I highly doubt it will be better then the qsc 18 because the amp in that one is probably way stronger but it should come close tho I’m guessing!

@hollywood DJ what brand woofer did you swap it to? I saw someone do this in a video and they said the same thing. They used Rockville, and while I like Rockville and use all their battery wireless dmx lights I wasn't sure about the quality of the subs. Looking online found that Eminence was a decent brand?

Floyd Aaron...its good i don't think you would have a problem this set up to much for a house or club house, but small pubs, small too medium venues, 0-200 perfect...0-400 like school dance...the sound would be just for the dance area. hope this helps.

If you haven't already; do it. I have the ELX-200-12s and ELX-200-18s (passive), and they're awesome. For the price, they're hard to beat.

What's Up....For the $ You can't go wrong with this white or black in this series, most events i think best you can get for the $ right now out-there.EV got good quality looks good, it will do the job and clean for most events. this don't clip early like the ZLX series, that sub does bangs...only thing on the sub no casters. I did a sweet16 250 people & had to turn down the sub didn't have any problems with them. hope this answers your question. peace

I agree, I’m impressed with the subs, outside of the much heavier QSC K Sub, which is over 80 pounds, despite being more powerful, it’s also hundreds of dollars more. After being in an accident, that wasn’t something that would work for me any longer. With the EVs, for the price, there’s nothing of comparable sound, or quality, with the same feature set. It’s a fair trade off because the EV ELX 200Sp punches above its weight in terms of sound clarity and bass. That being said, you can push the sub even further with the DBX GoRack, which is unfortunately no longer sold outside of the resale market, as it’s been discontinued. DBX still makes the far less portable rack mounted versions, but the GoRack was a portable Swiss Army Knife for sound. It had XLR in and out, a range of incredible EQs, a feedback suppressor, several compression presets, as well as a subharmonic synthesizer. The subharmonic synthesizer let me cut excess drop off from the bass on the ELX 200 18Sp. It sends out a cleaner signal, and you can get yorkville sub like sound profiles this way, despite the 700 Watt RMS of the ELX 18 Sub. If you can get a hold of one via Reverb, or through other retailers, it’s worth it.

What settings do you run it at? 0db.

@@ArtofZenDigital now you have me Googling DBX GoRack and found some available. My one question is does it make the sub clip sooner, I was reading about the sub synth but couldn't really understand what it was doing. The description said something to the effect of extending the bass and I wondered what effect that had on clipping. I absolutely love these subs and how they sound for being so light and portable. I spent half a day driving back and forth between Sam Ash and Guitar center listening to the subs over again in person and these really did punch above their price point. I purchased 2 of them and for my younger crowd weddings run them just below clipping during dance sets.

this series is the best for the $ & it takes care of most events with out a Problem, Clean & Nice.

Loudlazer Inc. I think he means that he prefers to take the 12’s to a wedding because they are lighter, which means more portable.

I prefer 12's sound wise + Sub...but if you have small wedding, house party, pool party, tailgate party 15's you don't need the sub for like 80 people.
