Like all mainstream films this, one maintains the historical nonsense that Christ was crucified with his modesty preserved with a loincloth. The reality of Roman crucifixions was that the condemned were always crucified completely naked with their genitalia fully exposed. Indeed, some sources contend that the condemned were already totally naked when publically paraded to their executions. Rather than it be thought that such degradations were solely inflicted on men, it should be understood that female slaves frequently suffered crucifixion, and exactly like the men, suffered all its full horrors absolutely naked.

Gethsemane comes from the Aramaic “gath shemen”, meaning olive press. It’s interesting. Jesus prayed three times in Gethsemane. Y’all know how many times oil makers press the olives to really get its essence? THREE TIMES!!

I haven’t heard nor thought of this song in years. I was sitting quietly before the Lord today and it came up in my spirit. I only remembered a few words, typed them in and there it was. It is so beautifully written and a powerful prayer. Lord knows we need His help and guidance.

Garden of gethsemane is same that was once the Garden of Eden that was lost and now turn to Garden of lucife. Jesus get tempted by snake there and he demonstrated for us where the snake hidden and he crushed the snake head in Garden of gethsemane

Martin Luther, while far from perfect morally (obviously) but also in theology, brought to fame again salvation by faith alone. The gospel is what Christ has done for us, we could never be saved by works because we deserve hell already! The holy spirit works out the elect through salvation.
