I'm going to use ST2110 when I buy my new MacBook Air next month. Still waiting on a ProRes to 2112 conversion app or CODEC, hopefully soon. 2110 will make my home movies look like Hollywood epics!!!! CANT WAIT!!!!!!!

Why do you reduce your professional skills? Using non-broadcast format, in my opinion, is not support professional evolution of broadcasters. We found that all telecommunication companies provide service by transferring uncompress signals/streams 2022 or 2110 over an MPLS line. We made a test to transfer pull from 4x 2110 3G resolution streams in Ukraine. It was loop Kyiv-Lviv-Kyiv, with a total length of ~480+480km. The measurement delay was 6ms. Sure we check equipment from different partners such as Evertz Scorpion, Riedel MN SDVN license, Embrionix Muon enc/dec. All the time we have the same result. Excellent uncompressed original quality, minimal delay.

If NDI is a stand-alone project then they should have an official plugin for OBS for both monitoring and broadcasting. There is a huge gap between OBS and Tricaster in terms of price and affordability. Almost all of youtube creators fit into this low-budget category. This is a tonne of people who might care about NDI if it was just part of native OBS out of the box.

The SDK has support for Linux but there are no tools for Linux like there are for windows and mac.

Would be good if they had a native Android Library. There seems to be an open-source binding for Java to NDI binaries but that's probbly not ideal. If they want ubiquity, they should support android - make it easy to write android TV apps etc. This would reduce friction for NDI in digital signage and other things (like plex or jellyfin maybe).

It should be written, that these new options are only available for MC: Ultimate licence. A normal perpetual licence doesn't seem to offer these features.

@@eye_n_wolf4373 Exactly. I am paying yearly quite a money to Avid for more than 10 years. And I find Avid's decision to create an Ultimate license that offers virtually no difference to be extremely extortionate. This TRANSCRIPTION seems to me as the first valid argument for a different license, but on the other hand I don't see why should I pay more (and let's be honest) for something that other softwares offer as a basic option. Plus, Avid still struggles with the Avid Link App, so it is practically impossible to install a trial of the Ultimate (to try these new options), if you are already a normal license subscriber.

Thanks for the answer, but the curious thing is that I was able to download and install it in Teams, I just didn't see the option in the tools tab in Avid, I thought it could be that my license didn't work. Thanks.

yes, Avid NEXIS is shared storage. Often used by creative teams for collaborating on video or audio editing projects. Used heavily with teams that use Avid Media Composer, Pro Tools, Adobe Premiere, Resolve, Autodesk, etc.

This is a great start but opening one script per clip is really inefficient. You should be able to select all clips in a scene bin and have it make one script from all. Any idea on this coming in the future?
