Great content, but you are flying through this at the speed of light !! Any person with no knowledge of these processes will loose interest in 2 minutes, as you do not explain it to people. You just show what you are doing, but not explaining anything.

Just don't do this. The benefit of excel is that it already has a UI that is common across all documents. Anything you make even if it is 'better' in your opinion is different and something new to learn. If you want to build a unique interface for your app there are far better ways to do that. As a web app for multiple devices possibly the optimal. But there are easy start options eg. Using Microsoft forms for input and power automate for any workflow, leaving excel to what it is designed for, to analyse/manipulate the data

Code errors out at this line Set pptShape = pptSlide.Shapes(pptSlide.Shapes.Count) Shaoe ( Unknown Member) : Integer out of range. 0 is not in the valid range of 1 to 0
@YourVBTutor5 күн бұрын
It looks like the shape isn't copying over to PowerPoint properly. Make sure you have a shape selected in the workbook before running the macro. Also change false to true when adding the presentation to be able to see the PowerPoint application, which should help you diagnose what's going wrong. Let me know how you go.
@michaeldingee7435 күн бұрын
@@YourVBTutorI have a shape selected, I had already set this to Set pptPres = pptApp.Presentations.Add(msoTrue), I also changed the .Fill.ForeColor.RGB = RGB(34, 139, 34) to a Green color and put a breakpont at pptShapeRange.MergeShapes msoMergeSubtract. Powerpoint opens and the green shape is there. It errors at the next line of code.

Hey it is great tutorial. Where did you learned this concepts in VBA ? I find difficult to find good resources.
@YourVBTutor12 күн бұрын
KZbin has been a great source over the last couple of years, but the majority has been developing ideas out of necessity - I had a task that I needed to complete and I needed to find a way to solve it. If you have any concepts that you need advice on, then let me know and I can put it down on my list of videos to make. Thanks for watching.

@@YourVBTutor My task is so complicated that its not easy to explain what exactly I need. I am seeking knowledge so I can figure it out. God tutorial 🙂 Is there a reason for using CreateObject and not reference to ADOX?
@YourVBTutor26 күн бұрын
Glad to hear you enjoyed. Late binding (using CreateObject) just assures that when you distribute, it will work regardless of references set up in the target environment. Using it this way I didn't necessarily need to turn on the ActiveX reference, but it helps to understand what you're using 🙂
