@dimereseininrobbyravouvou28557 ай бұрын
They never found that aircraft engineer again as it was said it was not someone who worked in Air Pacific at all or Air Terminal services an outsider no records of the person name in the logs at all weird indeed
@dimereseininrobbyravouvou28557 ай бұрын
Nope Delailasakau Air Pacific plane crash from Nausori to Nadi that was in 1999 everybody perished no survivors we were teaching at Jasper Williams High School that year remembered it because it was the year two of us decided to join Air Pacific as flight attendants after that crash hell no Anyways it was a sad day for Fiji islands indeed all perished no survivors including both pilots The plane engines was sabotaged they said that night by someone who entered the hangar sain he was aircraft engineer doing last checks

When I was a kid Harbour Centre used to be where Millers was situated back in the sixties until early the early 70s. It was a huge building selling a lot of merchandise, agriculture etc.
@dimereseininrobbyravouvou28557 ай бұрын
Yep Harbour Centre still there The olden Ice cream Parlour no more there now JR White Sports Shop there Inside you have the famous KFC of the 80s no more KFC in Fiji Islands after 2006 coup there was a big fight a Mr Smith was humping some women working there and he went and complained they serving bad food and all after 2006 coup like it was a stupid men full of climbing issues time They went to the extent of closing ICON Fastfood franchises because of heartbrokenness

The place used to be BNZ Bank of New Zealand back in 80s and they sold the place Bank of New Zealand BNZ and NBF National Bank of Fiji was there with other shops After that the place was bulldozed after 2006 coup and they started building that Tappoo City using loan from FNPF big commotion in Suva City that year as workers said they give loans from FNPF using workers money in millions yet when workers wanted to do partial withdrawal they did not get it easily It was a chaotic financial moves going on LIKE THEY TRIED TO MAKE FIJI ISLANDS BANKRUPT A LOT
@dimereseininrobbyravouvou28557 ай бұрын
You so true the design of Tappoo City high rise looks ugly because it is was supposed to look like the ⛵ sails of Takia Drua Double Hull Canoe as he is from Nadroga Navosa Province Sugar cane fileds maybe he wants to do mixture design It is just like any high rise shopping mall where they sell bought stuffs they buy and resell a lot products from other countries They rented out office spaces to businesses or anyone who wants to do business selling products or services like any malls anywhere in Fiji Islands and other world countries Same type of thing
@dimereseininrobbyravouvou28557 ай бұрын
Old Post Office? It is FINTEL Fijis olden Telephone Exchange building Post office still at same building but have gone through many renovations and shops renting there many businesses like Pharmacy Internet cafe they did that to get more revenue The Suva Post office is smaller nowadays the inside and it has a book shop together with it No more the huge Post office they did that after 2006 coup as they saw it gets more revenue when they rented it out More money face nowadays from after 2000 and 2006 coups

@dimereseininrobbyravouvou28557 ай бұрын
BSP came much later it is Bank of South Pacific they just bought the Bankrupt NBF National Bank of Fiji and bankruptcy Colonial Bank buildings and operating from there in reality Some buildings resold again their branches Fiji Islands especially Viti Levu many buying and reselling going on in nearly all sectors of the economy Ministerial portfolios included after the 2006 coup from 2006 to 2022 It helped though make those cities towns have more newer developments and employment generations kinda

my uncle used to work for P&0 Orient lines back in the early to mid 70's. I remember him taking to the wharf to see the SS Oriana and the hauntingly sad song of Isa Lei as the boat pulled away. My other uncle had a restaurant below in the Lilac theater building and later moved up a floor to run a snacks and refreshments kiosk for the theater. There was a comic store right across the street from the Lilac.I remember watching Jaws at the Lilac and King Kong at the Regal a year later. I remember redeeming Milo drink labels to watch movies at the Phoenix.
