Grids just not right . I've had this happen with damn near every brand I own. Some are perfect some are just not right lol . Don't think it really makes a difference lighting wise . But if you are ocd like me this shit will drive you crazy

The A/B comparison shots in this video were especially useful! I've had a 5-in-1 for a while now, as I know I should use it, but hadn't really put much thought into where that would be - so it's just sat unused. There are a few locations with uncontrolled lighting that I shoot in, and this has given me some solid ideas for how I can tame some of the lighting issues in those locations.

Great tip about doing a full test set up before packing for a shoot. I have a habit of taking WAY too much stuff with me, out of fear of either forgetting something, needing a backup, or wanting the flexibility of doing something a different way, and a simple pre-packing test setup would go a long way to eliminating all those things. I'm definitely going to start doing this - thanks!

You can also tilt the glasses forward just a bit to eliminate the reflection of the lights in the lenses. But this is great information for those who didn't know.

I have two of these 5 in one and it saved the day for me one time when I was shooting photos for a friends wedding at noon with the overhead sun.

How have you been putting your 5-in-1 reflector to use?

All great advice. To answer your question, I have two check lists - a gear list/requirements and a tick tock of what is happening pre, pro, and post. It is ideal if I can scout the location, and I believe in redundancy if I have the gear - extra cards, batteries, lenses, bodies, lights. If there's travel involved, I have to consider that. I am often a one person crew, and I have allow for the fact that I am sometimes going into buildings with a high degree of security. All of these things I consider when prepping and building the schedule.

What are some ways you prepare for your productions?

Came here to see how you packed your 955. There was a ton of camera movement in the beginning showing us your gear so minimizing that would've made the beginning easier to watch. That said, walked away impressed with your reflection on what worked well and what you wished you would've improved on. Nice job.
