Alex Van Halen´style is unique. You can really see the influence of John Bonham at certain stages of this solo. But the solo of Alex is even better in terms of dynamics as Bonzo´s. This video is too good to be true. I saw him live in Frankfurt in 1993. Life changing

Beging his solo alternating his foot pattern, lrl, rlr, lrl, rlr, lrl, cymbals with his right hand and drums with his left hand. The footwork alone is incredibly difficult. I think he is better than Neal Peart personally. His solos are more impressive to me.

Alex was never appreciated to the extent he should be due to his brother’s talent…Great drummer and should be at or near the top of the list for rock drummers…:-)

Alex's syncopation is brillaint on Pleasure Dome, I'd say the second best example of it on a VH tune after Outta Love Again.

I remember the 1st album & going like wow, this guy's really good, his tonality & how he "plays" the drums...wow ! Shit, "Outa Love Again"..fuckin' crazy drumming. And then you have the greatest (hands down) guitarist this world will ever see...we all hurt with the loss of our friend Edward Van Halen !!!
