Saw Rory around 1972 at the Kelvin Hall Glasgow,he did a tour where the tickets were about £ 2,00 dont think they broke even on that tour, but Rory knew that, just wanted to bring the music to the people, great show Ledgend, still remember it and I'm 70 now.

Do You Remember, 1982. was the Year of Synth Pop, New Romantics, and other rubbish, but Rory, always out of fashion and clothing style, anyway rocked and brought the fine crowd to ecstasy. So, who is the Champion???

Whenever I mentioned Rory Gallagher back in the 70's people always said "who?" At least now many more are appreciating his music, RIP RORY 🕊🕊🕊

Grandissimo Rory, ho avuto la fortuna di vederlo dal vivo in un piccolo paese dell'altro Piemonte, era il 1972 ed eravamo 300 anime, serata commovente e indimenticabile!

I remember taping Rorys BBC sessions onto a cassette tape the first time it was aired to the public listeners being 8big Rory fan.. I still have that cassette in my loft/attic... Crest of a wave was my favourite song.. I think I'm right in saying he first performed this in his days with the band Taste.. Please correct me if I'm wrong

His iconic Strat is set to go to auction Oct 2024. Sheena Crowley’s father sold the guitar to Rory 60 years ago. Sheena has a go- fund- me- page to keep the guitar in Ireland instead of some billionaires wall.

Hi I am same age and walked to my local village pub The George in Wilby Northamptonshire 1969. Had no idea but Taste was playing upstairs in the adjoining barn. Walked out totally blown. Never seen or heard any group anywhere near as good since.
