It is good to know that Jamaicans are finally waking up to the fact that there is more to the island of Jamaica than 'worn out and overused legacy' of ''Reggae and Bolt' but, instead, make sure that your government START USING your Tourism industry to feed YOUR ECONOMY and the 'People of Jamaica'. You have an equally beautiful island just like most other islands that 'God has provided'. Then, of course, there is freedom of Speech, but if we cannot provide constructive and factual comments about/to other islands or countries, we should refrain from making any. Just BE what we seem to preach and remember that we are ALL one BIG FAMILY of THE ONE AND ONLY GOD ALMIGHTY and it is vital that we treat each other as such. Much love to you all.

Jamaica is small, and on its own it would come under severe pressure from the US if it joins BRICS. It is a better idea if this decision is made by CARICOM instead, however the US being vindictive as we all know, would retaliate. Currently CARICOM enjoys many benefits and privileges by aligning with the US, so care must be taken not to destroy this. We need not look too far, we can see what the US is capable of in Cuba and Venezuela.

@garfieldwhittaker94420 күн бұрын
@@yardietomebone242 I think that the bypass planners have been grossly shortsighted in not designing a direct (potentially life-saving) exit/entrance on the Perimeter Road to the very important Cornwall Regional Hospital/Western Jamaica Children Hospital complex at Mt. Are Jamaican workers reaping the full benefits? That's a meaningless question.
@ArtsyIslandGirlJamaicanVlogs21 күн бұрын
Actually, I think it's a very meaningful question. It goes beyond just asking about benefits-it touches on fairness, equity, and sustainability. It's about whether local workers are being equipped with skills and opportunities that will allow them to thrive in the long term, not just during the life of a project. If we ignore such questions, we risk overlooking the true impact of development initiatives on the very people they are meant to uplift."
@robinirie9821 күн бұрын
@ArtsyIslandGirlJamaicanVlogs "The full benefits" cannot be quantified or defined hence it's meaningless. I do understand what you are saying as; are we maximising the benefits? But the "full benefits" phrase it as a zero sum game.
@ArtsyIslandGirlJamaicanVlogs20 күн бұрын
Full benefits can be quantified based on the objectives they've shared and the benefits they expect. Objectives should be measurable because they help you determine if you're making progress and achieving your goals:
@robinirie9820 күн бұрын
@ArtsyIslandGirlJamaicanVlogs Look, I don't mean to be an ass - I like your videos and think you are doing something important - but quantity means you can count and add something up. Objective means there is no judgement involved, example, the number of people employed and how much they are paid. So go on and tell us how you can quantify the benefits. Remember, objective and not subjective assessment.
@ArtsyIslandGirlJamaicanVlogs20 күн бұрын
We are having a conversation, a discussion. No one needs to be an ass. We are adults. A goal is an achievable outcome that is generally broad and longer term, while an objective is shorter term and defines measurable actions to achieve an overall goal. You can measure benefits if your expected benefits include things like job creation, training, and skill development, for example. If, for example, one of your goals/objectives is that workers leave with tangible skills, then that is easily quantifiable. With that said, we can always agree to disagree.

However, as a subscriber, I watch your videos and I always feel much better about the state of things. THE PRIME MINISTER OF JAMAICA NEED TI GET CHINA TO BUILD SOME HOSPITAL AND BRING IN NEW EQUIPMENTS FOR THE HOSPITAL AIRPORT CAN STAY
@oralacampbell6017Ай бұрын
A former Prime Minister of Jamaica used to say it takes cash to care. If private investors see a Negril International Airport as a feasible, profitable business idea they can go ahead and build it with their own money. More employment for the people living in the area and the hotels nearby should benefit. More residential housing, shopping, restaurants recreational areas, sports and entertainment facilities will also be needed for employees. A new, modern community build out will have to happen to receive the full benefits.
