for the custom compressor I would recommend to use, if you want to use the fundamental modules, to use the envelope generator (slew limiters also work fine), so you can also adjust the attack and decay, than iinvert the envelope (eg. mix module) and offset it with the rescale module. there are many ways and many many modules (as you know)...

Yeh that's a nice addition 👍

Hi. I really like the tone you get at 30 to 33 seconds mark. I was thinking if it is possible, that could be a starting point and then MIDI keys could change the cutoff gradually (opening up the filter slowly from left to right of the keyboard) instead of changing the oscillator frequency, and if it is possible, applying glide or portamento to that behavior. Please let me know. Thank you.
@optoproductions6 күн бұрын
You can do that by turning keyboard tracking to 0% on the oscillators and turning it up on the filter.

I'm using Digitakt 2 with minilogue XD and I couldn't make midi learn to work. No matter which knob I try to learn, digitakt always registers number 63. Going to the manual and setting specific CC values works at least.
@optoproductions13 күн бұрын
Could be a dusty knob sending out cc data. If you've got both MIDI in/out connected, MIDI tx/rx is turned on and you've got the right channel then it should work.
@MichaelFreeman-dw3ho14 күн бұрын
You can change the overall accent amount by turning the level knob when you’re in the accent menu. It’s set to 32 by default but can go up to 127 for more noticeable results

True, good tip! But it's still limited by the max velocity of 127.

are you patching BOTH the CV and Gate out from beatstep into the TD-3-MO @ 5mins? I assume to Beatstep Shift+Encoders(1 2 3) is what you are controlling gate & slide (legato) with ?? thanks
@optoproductionsАй бұрын
That's right!
@witte2702Ай бұрын
@@optoproductions thx. I have the beatstep (non-pro) and a TD3-MO. Do you give a consideration for the CV/Gate voltage? IIRC the ‘pro’ beatstep voltages can be changed in arturia’s software but just the stock voltage levels are available for the non-pro Beatstep. The Specs for the BeatStep and TD-3-MO are as below -- will there be any issues/risk with the combination. I am brand new to patching CV/Gate so am nervous. 😬 BeatStep Control Voltage: from OV to 7V Gate output: 8 Volts TD-3-MO • Filter CV in: 0 V to +12 V • CV in: +1 V to +5 V • Gate in: off: 0 V, on: +3.3 V
@optoproductions28 күн бұрын
@@witte2702 those spec look perfectly fine to me! Usually, there's not much wrong you can do with patching, it's designed to work with all kinds of voltage ranges.

Hey man, so I have a quick question. I am trying to get Next to zero latency while recording Chase Bliss blooper but I can’t bring recording in on a later bar because bloopers midi is set in daw to go after the first pulse if that makes any sense so it always has to be bar one. Do you have any workaround for this and Ableton 12 on how to get Next to zero latency monitoring because I have an RME interfaceas well and I’ve tried just about everything and I’m getting anywhere from 54 MS to 97 MS of latency.
@optoproductionsАй бұрын
I'm not familiar with the blooper, but maybe it's responding to transport controls? Try setting the MIDI output clock mode in Ableton from Song to Pattern. According to the blooper manual you can also turn MIDI clock on or off over CC automation. Maybe you could automate that? 54ms is a lot. I would test it by connecting a cable from your audio interface output directly to your input to find the problem. It could be that the blooper is adding the latency here.
@joeymc5272Ай бұрын
@@optoproductions i absolutely think blooper is adding the latency for sure. Thank you for the tips on this one. I never thought about that. Thanks so much! I have been having trouble recording external synths etc… starting on bar one. Never thought to offset that and start later to compensate. You definitely know your stuff well. By the way do you offer 1on1 tutoring lessons for ableton/modular?
