If I was to choose one book, I think I would include 'Exploring The Earth and Moon' by Patrick Moore ( 1923 - 2012 ). Although it is written for a juvenile audience, I think it expresses with clarity and precision our home planet and nearest neighbour world in space, and encourages the mind to wonder at what we are so familiar with, the Earth and moon, with joy and imagination, and compels us to see delight and wonder in what we see around us.
