It's a good measure of speed but not the best way of judging how well a competitor would actually take down another opponent. I understand it's not sparring, but I've seen many competitors in these quick tap competitions easily taken down by those they've bested because they either have not the power necessary behind their strikes or the competence to land them once an opponents strike lands and they are seeing stars. Good show none the less, there's some good speed in some of these attacks.
