Hi mate I’ve just come back from a day at hillside sadly didn’t catch anything. I was sat in peg 1, do you have any tips ie baits or places to cast, as I’m wanting to go back in the next week or so :)

@@tobyknight9377 hi pal, we caught 95% of our fish from the gaps of the end of the islands. The connecting channels between the two lakes. You need to fish locked up and say in your rods. You can see in that video I was casting across onto land, feeding up by hand and lowering my rig in. I was using solid bags, pellets and wafters.

Great video, I want to start carp fishing with my lad he’s 3 just don’t know if he’s ready, what age is your lad and what age did you start him fishing? If he starts coming with me, means more fishing time for me 😂

Hi Alex, I started taking my lad around 4 years old. Just make sure you have plenty for them to do and don't worry too much about taking the fishing serious. To be honest he just loves the freedom of being outside and messing with sticks and stones etc haha.

What a nice fish. I've fished pads lake a couple of times now and besides the huge bream i've had, I've only caught a couple of the lakes smaller resident carp. I'll be back on there at some point though as it's a stunning lake.

Yeh i really like it up there. Stick at it, learn what they like and the carp will start turning up.

This is Pads lake at Hillside Fishery buddy. That's the lake I generally fish on up there. Got a video coming up soon on the runs water too (Little Bert's)

You got any footage of just off the jetty at the boathouse? I lost two fish in the same snag there last year and have wanted to know what it was ever since, I'm guessing old rope or chain...

Hi Tom, the bit of footage is from the left side of the jetty near the clubhouse but not too close to it However i don't mind going back and having a cast around to see whats there.

Hi Derek, sorry mate, just got back on the channel, you have probably found out by now but yes there are carp in Foulridge up to 30lb mark.
