@@guero8820 yes, you can even do 23 degrees. The corner may not actually be 90 degrees, if it's less than this that helps, and still works if it's more.

Your hatch spar (the spar that you will attach the hatch hinge to) is how far from the bottom of your galley? 48" since it's the width of the luan?

So the outer walls are just glued to the inner walls, no fasteners? I need to replace the outer walls on my motorhome, and I'm very apprehensive about taking on such a huge project. Any input would be great.

I have the same van. It came with plywood over the top. And it was split like 2.5 foot and 1.5 foot. I bought bi mart plastic shelving. I think it said it was rated at 200lb per shelf. I put plywood on top of the 2.5 foot section and made a nice bench. I don't drive it much anymore as gas prices make me drive a small car. But, I always wondered about what was under the metal. Thank you. If i had your measurements, I would be cutting the aluminum today. I had a flat once and it was a pain to lower the tire, so I keep it in the back, wonder if I could fit it in one of these seat compartments? I carry a racing jack and like to change a tire fast, as you know lookie loos like to crash into you. I hate the lowering tire thing they have, especially if I were on a busy hwy. Thanks for the video. My van has been a bit of $$ for repairs, but overall, it gets great mpg for a van that acts like a truck. I even got 29 mpg with some tablets in the tank a friend gave me. I think i want to get a small trailer to see how she does with the loaded back suspension and radiator on the tranny. Great little camper van. I only wish I wasn't so tall so I could slouch in the back instead of just lying down.

PS I had to cut the shelving plastic poles to make it so the bed wasn't so tall. I store stuff under the shelf. If you ever thought of using it for camping or shelf storage.

Where do you get these particular regulators from? I'm going to switch my lawn equipment over one at a time and want to do it right the first time rather than destroy an engine. Or my shop 😄
@poweredbypropane3517
@poweredbypropane3517 3 ай бұрын
The regulators shown are cobras made by Century Fuels. I have since changed them to Impco Cobra-P which is exactly the same but has a primer button which makes it easier to start. They weren’t available originally. These are commonly used on things like forklifts but they actually work really well on small engines. I generally get them from Century Fuels or Carb and Turbo but there are probably other places as well

No. The adhesive needed is a high solvent and it would melt the foam.

I put a huge trash bag well ahead and behind the door. I tuck it all the way under the mattress. Over that, I tuck a huge beach towel. I've never had the water leave the towel but it has leaked every time I've driven in the rain.

Whenever you’re fitting something that’s protecting something from weather, use a sealant with it, even a small bead of clear general silicon with the rubber seals. Nice setup mate 👍🏽

great video I to just did this to my 2000 ford explorer, like the metal guard the best hard to push in and hard to be cut with a knife mine fits in the window channel and squeezed the open end to fit snug atop the window didn't like the wide width so cut mine 2" wide less noticeable so when the window is rolled up it snugs up really tight and sturdy although the plastic is used in some of these videos I felt they were less secure and decided to use the metal one and man I'm glad I went with my instinct on this one🤔

I always put two coats of adhesive on the wood. The adhesive can really soak into the wood and give you an adhesive starved surface.

I recently picked up a 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan GT and removed the 2nd and 3rd row seats from it. I've used some thin plywood (3/32" x 48" x48" in the rear to make a hinged access panel to the storage area. The front area is about 2" lower than the rear but I've leveled a 48" x 72" sleeping platform with legs of different lengths and have about 16".5" high space underneath to the floor level with nothing built above the stock seat access at the front. So, I have lots of space and can still slide in a 4'x8' sheet of plywood if I take the platform out. That platform is made of heavy-duty plastic storage shelving and it can be removed in about a minute (and transferred to a tent, etc.). I'm very happy so far with the system I've worked out for camping. I like the C/V version but IIRC, the cargo vans lack all the remote door and rear hatch functions. With my GT version, it is great to be able to just push a button from the inside (and outside) to open the side doors and rear hatch, or start the vehicle remotely including from inside when in the back. Makes crawling out of bed easier when camping. Am I correct in assuming the C/V version only has manual doors and no remote start?
@RinconSteve
@RinconSteve 9 ай бұрын
Hi Joseph, yes you are correct, no bells or whistles in the C/V. I've done a lot of van camping in a Toyota Sienna. I think it is one of the best ways to camp and travel. It sounds like you have a nice set up. Thanks for watching and sharing - Steve

I personally dont like the look of the baseboard cut this way when bull nose corners are used. I would rather just standard 45 degree corners, and fill in the top void with a good job of caulk. I am a builder, and that is how i did my own house.

Hi how are you I hope you’re doing well, I noticed you put the fan above the door is there any particular reason why you put it there instead of in the middle? I guess it doesn’t really matter. Just wanted to ask you that question and I appreciate all your videos and the process that you went through to film all these videos I know it takes a lot of time so we really appreciate that. Thank you.

Simply answer: I put a solar panel on the roof. I had to have the fan to one side for the panel to fit. Thanks for watching!

We are planning that the travel trailer is only a temporary thing. We will be moving into the house in January, but need a kitchen and a quiet space as an office for LaVon. After the rest of the house is done we will sell the trailer. Good to hear from you Bob.

It is doing just fine. Only things that broke: brake pedal light actuator, and all the motor mounts. It has over 170k on it. I would consider a bigger van now for pulling bigger trailers. Otherwise it is taking care of my needs.
