As a local to the area, I'll assist you both with some information: The platform on the Holyhead side was extended up to the Fast line, as it used to be on a loop, they removed the Down Loop a few years ago before the area was re-signalled and re-controlled from Wales ROC in Cardiff. The buildings (apart from the signal box) are all in use by a charity called Abergele Community Action, the old Booking Office (the big building at the top of the platforms), is a "Community Hub", the other buildings are storage for the food bank and offices for the charity. The offices and the Food Bank retain a lot of the original features.
