Please observe how a heavy crane is mounted HIGH up on the rear…and how the engine is situated on the front end… Driving along a slope and feeling insecure one is tempted to steer DOWN the slope… but look what will happen; the crane and the engine will place the centre of gravity past of the downward wheels, ie. The vehicle will ROLL!!! I found miself over 30 years ago in a similar situation driving a very comparable vehicle (an ARDCO-Buggy) and spotted just in time the wheels upward on the slope loosing traction…. Instantly I reduced speed and steered gently uphill stabilizing the vehicle… This vehicle was containing the computers for a Seismic survey… in Mauretania. Worth well over a million….. and the production of the entire operation depended on this very vehicle… rolling it would’ve been the end of my career…
