I MEAN, ALL THOSE PROCEDURES DESCRIBED HERE-IN ARE BASICALLY ALL THATS EVER NEEDED BUT, I AM IN A SERIOUS JAM! i'VE SNAKED, I'VE DONE THE BAKING SODA AND VINIGAR, I'VE TRIED A WHOLE BOTTLE DISH SOAP AND THEIR HUNGRIEST ENZYMES, I'VE PLUNGED, DRANO'D FOLLOWED UP THE NEXT DAY WITH HYDROCHLORIC ACID, BOILING WATER.... YOU NAME IT.... I'VE GONE DOWN THAT PIPE WITH EVERYTHING... EXCEPT FOR A CAMERA... LOL, MINES MISSING.. AND ON TOP OF THAT, MY LAST TRY ABOUT 20 MINUTES AGO: I EVEN ATTACHED A 5 HORSEPOWER VACUUM TO THE OUTSIDE 4" CLEAN OUT AND AN AIR COMPRESSOR AT 125PSI TO THE OFFENDING PIPE, WHILE PLUNGING A SECONDARY SYSTEM THATS CLOGGED BIPROXY AND ITS FILLED WITH DRANO AND BOILING WATER...... HALF EXPECTING SOMETHING TO GO OFF LIKE A STICK OF TNT BUT, NOPE... NUTTIN! JUST A CLOGGED PIECE OF FLIPPING PVC AND THE RUN IS LIKE 40 FEET LONG.. AND I HAVE NO CLUE WHERE ITS AT... OTHERWISE I'D HAVE CUT IT OUT ALREADY! ALTHOUGH, I'D RATHER AVOID THE SCHITTY CHEM-LAKE THAT I'D BE SWIMMING IN AFTER I CUT IT.... OOOHHH ITS POOO, AND DRANO... AND HYDROCHLORIC ACID AND... OOOOHHH ITS DA POOO LOL... OMG, LAUGHING IS ALL I HAVE LEFT!! ITS LAUGH.... OR I TELL THE FAMILY THAT I SEEN A SPIDER AND IM SORRY THAT WE'RE IN A HOTELROOM UNTIL THE INSURANCE COMPANY SORTS OUT HOW THEY WANNA PAY! LMAO BUT HEY, THE TOILETS WORK!

I used this idea about 4 months ago and after about 30 minutes it worked. It took some work till I got it with the plunger.

I've always done the clog one side and plug the other, not the baking soda trick thanks

Question. My sink clogs after i turn on dishwasher. Last time i thought to turn on disposal but water leaked from under. My apt maintenance supposedly fixed. My disposal was empty so i turned on dishwasher but sinked filled so i turned off dishwasher. My apts are closed for 3 days. My sink is full of water and so is my dishwasher. Help please. I'm trying method right now but scared

I wish I saw this before pouring Drano down the sink. 🤦🏾‍♀️ That did not remove the clog. Should I try the baking soda and vinegar method or plunging method next.

How does vinegar and soda get past it but not the chemical “helper” lmao. I used the combo like five minutes ago and watched the sink drain slowly after multiple days of no movement. Our pipes were installed minus the slope ffs so I gotta overhaul my plumbing system now goddamit ahaha. I should have just left it be but who am I kidding was bound to happen since the previous owner hired some sundowner plumber 👨‍🔧

I did it and it worked! My kitchen sink plugged right before a snow storm where I knew there wouldn’t be help for 3 days, I tried it exactly with baking soda, vinegar and boiling water. Thank you!

Gahhhh the plunger method worked ! Didnt want to add too many liquids , and didnt have a drain stopper. So i used a rag on one sink, and plunged the other. And booom!!! It worked!!

When using the plunger, do we need to plug the dishwasher air gap also?

This saved me on Christmas Eve as my double sink was clogged just like this and the stores were already closed and I didn't have Draino. I used every last ounce of cleaning vinegar I had but this WORKED!! 🙏

Thank you so much! This worked great! If you have other baking soda products for carpet cleaning or for pets make sure you use plain baking soda because the other products have a silica in them and can actually add to clogging the sink.

I’ve tried all this. My nephew has continuously poured grease down my drain. Nothing is working. Someone told me to try to acid. But I’m afraid that they will come back up in my house, and I have dogs.

Thanks so much. I was about to call apartment maintenance for the 100th time for plumbing issues. This saved me, I was able to clear the clog using apple cider vinegar and baking soda! I got most of the sitting water into the toilet and then tried it. Let's go!!!!!!!!!!!!!
