The stylus does not come with this equipment, but the screen works without a stylus. It is not necessary to purchase one separately, but this is showing that a stylus can be used with the AFL 45S Fiber Optic Fusion Splicer. This tool will not cut a monicoil steel tube (typical armor used). But a thorough answer will depend on the kind of armor you are referring to and if the objective is to remove the armor or the jacketing over the armor. why is this cleaver so expensive??? my company has like 5 of these and every time i use the splicer that has this cleaver in the box i have the worst time..... the cladding builds up on the buffer stop and it messes up your cleave, the scraps sometimes stick to the blade and dont always make it in the container.... i bought a 60 dollar cleaver off amazon and its absolutely perfect

The spiral cut option is a lifesaver when stripping tough-as-nails PE jackets. It's not apparent until you use that option.

How many times can u run an st connector before the connector is no good. I've run st's 3 times and still having a scratch issue?

I have the same issue when I run my St connectors I usually can only get about 50/50 on each run that are clear and I only run 14 heads on my puck instead of 18

Hi Jesse, The CST-1900 cannot cut through that type of cable but the AST-200 from Jonard, which we sell as well, is designed for armored cable similar to that. Additionally, for typical armored cable, a “heavy-duty ringer” type of tool is commonly used, such as the Miller ACS Adjustable Armored Cable Slitter for 0.315" to 1.125" (8-28.6mm) cable.

This is a very impressive demonstration of the high power UV curing system that can burn paper with its ultra-bright output. I'm amazed by how fast and deep it can cure epoxy and other materials with different wavelengths. It looks like a very useful and versatile tool for various applications. I like how it has a fan cooling system, a lens for illumination homogeneity, and a timer adjust knob. This is a great product that shows the advancement of UV LED technology. Thanks for showing this video! 👍

how much psi should you use on fiber? can you damage the fiber using higher psi

It sounds like you are looking for the pressure being applied by the machine on the connectors being polished. The Domaille 5000 series polishing machines typically use lbs as the unit of pressure. The amount of pressure is dependent on the connector style being polishing. For 2.5 mm ferruled connectors it's typically 0.35 lbs per connector. For 1.25 mm connectors, it's typically 0.25 lbs per connector. However, this is just a guideline. The machine operates between 80-125 psi, i.e. the pressure of the air being introduced to the machine for operation. I'm not sure what you mean by oily fiber optics. Do you mean fibers used in the oil and gas industry? Or, are you referring to the oily gel typically found in loose tube gel filled cables? Dry Fiber wires are not flexible. its break when the technician load in steel Pipe but Oily wet little wet fiber optic wires are flexible its load in the stainless steel pipe easily with some bonding material.
