Your content is fire! Love the Judo for BJJ stuff as Im vehemently opposed to pulling guard. Thanks for the tips👍🏽

Cool video! Something that might make the wall drill more effective is either bringing your back foot under so the student isn't crossing their legs on the finish or having the student really step out and drag the foot through to make sure they get the idea of pulling in that direction. Crossing feet can get really problematic if the student fails off balancing and it can lead to them throwing themselves or getting countered. I really like the wall drill, so I will for sure steal that for teaching or personal practice :)

Judo 🥋. My question brother, did you begin as a Judoka or a BJJ grappler?
@TeamDNABJJ21 күн бұрын
Dainis started in Judo @ 7 then went to bjj at like 19 ish. Matthew started Judo first I'm pretty sure.

respectfully, it's not a good idea to jump over since tori can easily lift his leg and catch you with ashi guruma.

This looks more like an opportunity for Uchi Mata to me. Ashi Guruma is for tripping both legs.

Good idea. Don't teach takedowns. Don't show jiu jitsu students how to go from standing to the ground. Just butt scoot. Your opponent, or attacker, will magically end up in your guard.

@TeamDNABJJ4 ай бұрын
Dainis is a black belt in judo. Not the funnest to stand with. Brown belt is a nice guy and tough competitor. Dainis was just able to time the guard pull with a pass, it happens to high level competitors all the time. I'm pretty proud of anyone getting out there. Let's keep it positive.
