Most of these spaces highly manicured, expensive to maintain, not many of them show any regard towards creating ponds for wildlife nor do that many of them provide suitable trees for birdlife and the environment, eg not one space dedicated to a groundcover or wildflower lawn which are crucial for insects, butterflies and bees. Such a disappointing display of almost total disregard for the environment

Crepe Myrtle ? Stunning ! What zone can it tolerate ?
@housetalksАй бұрын
Crape Myrtle can survive from zones 5 to 9. But it goes to dormant in winter.

Prejudices like this hardly seem relevant if the info is worthwhile. I appreciate the info - it was just what I was looking for. TBH, an AI voice that is clear and easily heard and understood is preferable to a voice that has a strong accent, or a rambling off-topic speaker, or a mumbler. There is a place for AI voices, e.g., someone with lots of knowledge to share, but hates his or her own voice. There is a YT creator that when she speaks, her voice is screechy and whiny so I just have to turn off the sound and put on CC. You can do that w/the AI voice too.

Crape Myrtle is a beautiful ornamental tree, however, I recommend that you DO NOT cut any of the limbs or big major branches because once you do that, their suckers will come up at the base of the tree and then they spread to other parts of the yard. It becomes a real pain to have to remove them which is quite often. It’s OK to trim tiny branches or small twigs but never the main branches or big branches. We made a serious mistake by cutting back all the branches because we saw our neighbor did it to his crape myrtles. We regretted of doing that and we had to cut down our three beautiful crape Myrtle trees just because of the suckers.
