Hi Kate, we're using Bullhorn and it's really good. We can't afford the full package as we're funded by local authority but if you buy a basic package, it is a massive help. It's very complex, or it can be, but also intuitive. That said, I have only ever used Bullhorn so I don't have anything to compare it with. Best, Attila

@@torma1985 yes I've used Bullhorn a bit with some of the agencies I work with. It's also a very good one, but I find Recruit CRM slightly easier to navigate. Just stumbled across this vid when searching for answers. Seasoned Recruiter here and in a real slump at the moment where I've had my last 8 (EIGHT) offers out to candidates all rejected, one after another (in an industry where candidates generally only get one or two offers in their job search). Varied reasons as to why the offers have been rejected, but finding myself constantly beating myself up and questioning whether I can even do this job. This vid was a nice reminder to keep a calm head and not dwell, things will turn round eventually! (Right? 😂)

There must be something in the air today Ashley...because I have been feeling a similar way myself. You are not alone; however long we've been in this game for, we get days/weeks like this where it feels like one thing after another and as a result our confidence takes a hit. Things will get better and don't ever question if you can do your job or not! I have a couple of videos on mindset that might help you as well, but I ran a workshop recently that I have a recording of which I think might help you too. If you'd like the link, drop me an email and I'll send it to you 🙂🙂.

An ironic exemplar of job descriptions out there being posted, asking for all the experience in the world but not providing any - Clearly Jordan knows & has proved that skills can be transferred and the most valuable experience one gets is "FROM 'DOING' THE JOB" otherwise how would he have learned these things in the first place? As you say Kate; "Champagne & Razor Blades". Furthermore, as MANY Top Voices like Carla Harris (Morgan Stanley) said; 'Your HUMAN talent is your best talent' - Finding the right 'PERSON' for the job! Or... If nothing's being learned then people can feel free to trust the AI written CVs & cover letters. The heart and humanity has to be there otherwise these bits of paper are worthless. AI is great if you want quantitative results. It's case studies like these, 'conversations' like this that reinforce qualitative performers! Nice one Jordan!

Do you think it's possible to succeed in opening your own recruitment agency with no recruitment experience if I learn sales, cold calling, cold emailing, and do a recruitment course? What else do recruitment trainee roles teach in recruitment companies so I can make sure I get it all covered?
@kateoneillrecruitmentcoaching7 ай бұрын
Are you opening the agency in a sector you have experience working in? I would personally get a bit of experience working in an agency first so you have an idea of what's involved/what it's like. You could start the business and realise you don't actually enjoy recruiting! 6 months would be plenty of time, and that will give you a taste of skills needed and how you want to run your business. It is doable, but running and starting a new business is tough and adding that extra layer of you not having any recruitment experience might make it even harder. They teach the knowledge side, but you also learn the resilience needed as well as the right attitude and work ethic needed to survive. Again, you could learn that setting up yourself, but doing it in someone else's environment means if it's not for you you've got options

why do they hire the least experienced workers into gatekeeping positions for hiring it makes zero sense but here we are
@kateoneillrecruitmentcoaching10 ай бұрын
People have to deal with gatekeepers at all levels, not just newbies. We all have to start somewhere, even experienced consultants were new to gatekeeper conversations at one point. If we don't train the trainees early, they'll struggle to get ahead in their BD.
