JB... Just the video I needed to see and hear. I am 63 retired and am new rider to the three-wheel bikes and want to be very safe. My plan is to stick to the back roads with no traffic and learn the bike at my speed. I am also in agreement with if I want to ride it somewhere I will trailer it there unload and ride. Thanks for the video!

JB, Thanks for your reply. Yeah, I going to take it slow and easy. You have made me want to stick it out and decide weather riding is right for me . I also don't even have my motorcycle license yet. Doing my Can-Am class this weekend. Have rode a little around the subdivision is all so far. Just got it August 1st 😅. I saw your trailer video. One more comment. Can you show the links for your product selections in your videos please? Is that a Xumo XT GPS? I used Wanners Butt Buffers on my 2 wheel bikes. Even put them in my 4 wheel vehicles when I wasn't riding. In my California III LAPD, I had a Corbin King & Queen seat installed then had Wanner cut it open and install the gel pad from the stock Butt Buffer in the Corbin seat. Worlds of difference in ride comfort.

Something else to consider is a new product from RainX. I say new only because it hasn't been on the market for dozen+ years like it's glass counterpart. Similar to don't use Bug-Be-Gone, RainX now has a Plastic Water Repellent product. Now I will fully admit I used to use RainX on my Moto Guzzi windscreens and helmet visors. They did tend to become less clear after years of use. This one is truly meant for water Repellent use on Plastics. I forget how much but around $15 I think for a 12 oz bottle. My I even use RainX impregnated windshield wipers. My wife actually thanked me for them. Let me know how you find it. I guess it's new enough that my Can-Am dealer's parts department wasn't aware of it. A couple of them are up in our age bracket too. I need to remember to clean my windshield and visor before I hit the road next week so I can apply it!

More advice from someone who specializes. Your method is fine and the trailer is perfect. Best way to lock down a spyder is to simplygo from the lower a-arm straight forward each side and straight back from the same a-arm no need to attach to the rear wheel. The key here is the trike can move up and down freely but the tension on the straps remains constant. Also velcro is great wd-40 is poison never use wd-40 on anything. I learned this spending 10 years as a garage door tech removing wg-40 from door openers 😢

Here is the deal - I design and build custom reverse trikes and am a fan of the spyder. as an expert let me give you some advice - first on the tires keep the air pressure down. 16psi front and no more than 24psi rear - DO NOT DO A FRONT END ALIGNMENT UNLESS THE TIRES WEAR POORLY AND DO NOT EVER DO LASER ALIGNMENT it does not work on a 3 wheel vehicles. pulling to one side can not be corrected by toe adjust. keep a light grip ride one handed and as you say ride ride ride and relax as that will improve your experience greatly. When you replace tire go with standard automotive radials, they are cheaper and will wear twice as well as the Kenda tires which are not good. A heavier anti sway is a good upgrade and I would recommend this also.
@practicingretirement7732

@@endeavortrikes Thanks for the advice. Why do you recommend 16 and 24 psi when CanAm recommends 21 and 27? Thanks for your guidance.
@endeavortrikes
@endeavortrikes Ай бұрын
@practicingretirement7732 if you look at other spyders you will notice heavy center wear on the tires especially the rear. That is an indication of over pressure. Also canam recommends 12.5 to 17 on the front. 16 seems about right. More pressure also increases the dodgie effect and harshens the ride@@practicingretirement7732
