You cite that climate change is now but your plan is looking out 25 years. Kind of an oxymoron. There is no plan for green transportation. I know ev (battery) are talked about but there is a recovery cost to recycling those batteries. Subway or above ground transportation systems using hydro are greener. Also faster which in turn encourages more ridership. It removes buses from roads and streets adding in better traffic flow.

Buses won't be the go to in London until the buses come every 10/15 minutes and there are more under or over passes when it comes to the many long trains in the city. The adelaide underpass was 25 years in the making, and the city pats themselves on the back for it, it's laughable.

London city hall is all talk... a central hub was in the news a few years ago, nothing happened, just getting people's hopes up. If there is a plan that's going into development with a specific date, cool, if not please stop talking about it!!! The lot beside RBC place is for sale, buy it, it's right on the BRT or the lot across from Via Rail, buy it and connect the train and bus hub... there are options, but in 3 years this discussion will be repeated. It's frustrating!!!

People really don’t understand these at all. Lots of confusion around gypsy moths. I was once the average moron who thought buying the pesticide would do the trick when I saw moths flying around. Wrong 1- removing the egg sacks is the best prevention method in fall/early winter (don’t let em get started 2- if you do have egg sacks (even if you removed many), you likely won’t have gotten them all. So in spring,do the following 3- to protect trees and minimize the damage of caterpillars that hatch. A) get some duck tape and wrap it around your tree so that you have the sticky part facing outwards. Try to create a height of 12 inches and make sure nothing can get in behind. This helps greatly reduce pillars going up the tree to feed. Do this for all your trees. The less food they eat, the greater the risk they die. They need the energy for the next phase (to cocoon to become a moth). If hey can’t become a moth, they can lay eggs in the summer/fall. No eggs, no problem next year. B) also, the BLK chemical helps by spraying the leaves they feed on. If pillars Injest a sprayed leaf, it will kill the caterpillar Many people buy the spray thinking it kills the moth or kills the eggs, it doesn’t. There are other things that people swear buy but I think these things are best. Scrap the eggs and destroy. Then prevent pillars from getting up your trees to feast. Plus spray what they feast on. They are steal pain no doubt. But understanding how they actually work is key

Ya kinda like when I’m in my kayak at the lighthouse cove where the Thames empties into lake st Clair and I see orange used needles going by in the current, no doubt from junkies in London! Good job, never again, I’m not getting hepatitis just so I can go kayaking!

Once again the city is cutting down established trees and replanting tiny trees that in 25 years will look like the ones being cut. Why can't any city engineers work trees into their designs? Having a decorative water fountain at the entrance that looks similar to the one removed from the park decades ago would be a attractive idea. No capacity to think big at city hall:(

I don't believe these stats. Why are the people purple and green? This is juvenile and the CEAP is a costly plan that can't do the job.

It seems almost pointless watching and commenting on projects that are still years away from even being started. It was 3 years ago that the evening News had a story on the need for improvements, and we're still talking about it. I hope I am still living in the area when it all gets underway.

The only way to save energy is the good insulation , and not the thermostat setting. If you have not a very good insulated house , and you drop the temperature from 21 degrees Celsius to 18 degrees at night, in the morning the furnace will run non stop for many hours to reach 21 again. Yesterday I changed my old broken furnace. The house temperature was 16 degrees (3:30 pm ) when we start the new furnace and it takes 8 hours (running nonstop) to reach 21 degrees

The Oxford street corridor running east to west connects to the east link bus rapid transit corridor and have many london transit commission routes serving along the Oxford street corridor so I believe having dedicated bus lanes along the corridor would serve the Oxford street corridor allowing already progressing Rapid transit projects and dedicated bus lanes.

If active transportation is being considered into the corridor why hasn’t Rapid Transit been considered for Oxford St. West the intersection of Oxford st. West at wonderland could connect London’s first dedicated bus lane by connecting the Oxford corridor to the wonderland road corridor making additional bus lanes on Oxford and wonderland and will rapid transit or dedicated bus lanes be considered ?

Hopefully the city gives out grants or some other incentives to homeowners, so that this gains momentum. If it's that important, shout it from the rooftops!!

Good questions! This Information Session was a high level overview of the Budget process and did not include specifics about the Multi-Year Budgets. This is because the Budgets (Property Tax, Water and Wastewater & Treatment) will not be released until December 12, 2023. For detailed information after the budgets are released, please visit getinvolved.london.ca/budget. Thanks!

London has 600-2000 homeless. (600 are high-acuity). The plan council voted for has 44 beds in total. Cost about 20 million dollars. Some of us can still do Math, and we are NOT impressed with the plan.

London's city centre is dull. Most cities have a common hub in the centre, Toronto's Dundas Square, New York's Time Square... the city needs to buy land, perhaps the land next to RBC place and design an area that attracts people to the centre. A really nice fountain, digital screens, outdoor cafe... Kitchener, Hamilton, Brampton, Cambridge all have fountains, running water really attracts people. A grocery store is a need too. So many high rises, but having to drive out of the centre to shop isn't appealing:(
