still a slick first tempo, people can still react to it, a minus tempo is hard to react with because you'll see the spiker will feel like a decoy esp the first time close but not yet spiker's hand is still winding up for the spike while setter released the ball. it is a first tempo spiker hand should be on the spiking motion and not winding up. they're actually doing the miya twins minus tempo tho kageyama can do the set anywhere, practiced like hell how to accurately do a setting toss that drops on the spiker's highest point of impact.

This is still first tempo, just a really fast one. Definitely pretty cool, but minus tempo is when the ace jumps before the setter. Basically the order is: 1) the ace jumps 2) the setter receives the ball 3) the setter passes the ball 4) the ace slams it while still in mid-air.

Adam you're doing great, man! I love the fact that you're having your own reactions and responses to things in the show - that's part of why we're all excited to see you watch it! There will be things you guys agree on and things you don't; that's totally natural and you shouldn't feel bad about it at all. Also, yes, the freak quick (as it'll soon be dubbed) is definitely a little unrealistic. I do like that they added the bit after the first one where they pretty clearly showed that it took at least several more attempts before they finally managed to land the second one. So they do try to keep it somewhat in the realm of believability, while simultaneously telling you that Kageyama is basically a freak when it comes to his technical ability in terms of setting. And they do somewhat subtly build further on that believability throughout the series by mentioning how freakishly zealous both Hinata and Kageyama are about practicing (I know you guys record a fair bit in advance so I'm assuming you've seen a few instances of this already by now). All that said, the freak quick is definitely still the element of the show that asks you to suspend your disbelief the most. Given how well the rest of the show is done, I think most people end up accepting it pretty quickly, because what really matters at the end of the day is the story, the characters, and their various arcs, and those are all done to near perfection.

My setter and I used to be obsessed with fast outside balls, but we figured out when the outside is a player like you and jumps as high as u do u should just maximize potential with a high set, BUT if the blocker is very tall then start running faster balls

I could be wrong, but the first one seemed to not use your shoulder as much, both used your core but you pulled back on your shoulder a bit more on the second one.
