Thank you so much for watching my video @slard1. I was the same did not know why my rifle was out then I realised it was the bore sight. When I fixed the problem my rifle was zeroed perfectly. Good luck with your bore sight hope it helps you too.
@ChristopherWalls72 Жыл бұрын
At first i thought it was a good idea. After thinking it through even if the drill itself is lvl its a chance the drive is not, a very good chance at that. So what you did was zero it in on your drill drives motion more so then pretty much any rifle, crossbow, pistol etc. scope. The theory seem sound and i was almost like hell yeah. Then as i thought being that i use drills on the reg they are not always true. Great idea just slightly flawed. Love the idea. And if it works for you that is a great thing good luck on future endeavors.

Thank you Christopher for watching my video and for your response. The thought did go through my head about the drill theory but I did wanted to try it. And yes it fix the problem that I had on my bore sight. Very much so I was hoping I can put a photo up on the grouping that I got. Is was almost perfect. It did work for me I only did the video just to let people out there that purchase a laser bore sighter that they are not all accurate. Thanks mate good hunting

Very good explanation but it should be remembered to use the sighter as close to the distance you will shoot at. It will only get your sight close to where you need it, final zeroing should be done with ammunition.
@cfmelz2 жыл бұрын
Hi Robert. Thank you. Your correct this video is just to raise awareness that buying a laser bore sighter is not accurate straight out of a box. I realised that when I sighted it in with the bore sight an was no where hitting target. Then realise that laser was out. Now hitting tight grouping after adjusting the bore sight. 👌

Just bought one the same as yours and found mine is way out, when i rotate the drill my laser dot makes a circle over a foot in diameter. I only have 3 adjustment screws on mine and Im having a devil of a time trying to centre it.
@cfmelz3 жыл бұрын
Hi Mark. Unfortunately it is a long a process. But like myself you will have to unscrew (just a touch) on one side and screw in the over side. And turn the drill on to see if the circle gets smaller. Believe me when that red dot is in the middle and you haven’t got that circle anymore your scope will be zeroed without shooting a single shot.

Notice how much the guy setting it up struggles to move it around as he unloads it? That is because this tent weighs in at just under FIFTY POUNDS, without the outer cover (which is NOT available in the US). Not exactly one you just throw on your roof rack or move around much without a dolly.
@cfmelz4 жыл бұрын

@@cfmelz DiggerMel Yeah, I noticed that when I got mine. I ordered it from Amazon without noticing the weight in the small print, and was very surprised to be presented by UPS with this behemoth. I also ordered the larger top cover which will make it about 10lbs heavier.

@@cfmelz I haven't had a chance to use it yet, just got it a few days ago. My plan is to open it up in the next couple of days and weather proof it with some seam sealant, gorilla tape and silicone weather proofing. I hear this tent leaks pretty badly if you don't. I bought the extended rain fly as well, after hearing that the one it comes with doesn't give very good coverage to the windows. I have a 4x4 GMC Yukon that I am converting into an "off road camping" vehicle, with 7' roof rack, 16 gallon roof water tank, and a new positraction rear end. I also picked up a used 10x10 zipper side canopy to extend the "porch" area of the tent. That and a 10x20 tarp shade tied to the SUV should give my wife and I plenty of room for everything. We also bought a 1500w generator to charge the 400aH batteries and3000w inverter (still to be bought) to power a small fridge and the water pumps and lights. We chose this tent because my wife's idea of "roughing it" is going to a motel that doesn't have color TV. So I also had to get several sleeping bags (flat and mummy type) as well as a queen size 15" thick air mattress. Next thing you know she will want me to put in air conditioning (she already has hot and cold running water and a shower/toilet room and a full kitchen with a grill, camp stove and 18" gas griddle). I keep telling her the idea of camping is to got minimalist, she says these things ARE minimalist, lol. I think it would have been cheaper and easier to just put wheels on the house and take it.

lenf2 wow!! That is an amazing set up you got there. Really. awesome mate. I have had my tent out in heavy rain. And the cover that it comes with was great. Did not leak one bit. I also have got the 6 man tent for when it my son and I which is great too.

Coleman sometimes exaggerates a teensy bit about its tent capacities (LOL!). I think when they say 10-person tent, they usually mean 9 adults and 1 child! A LOT of people who bought their tents say, for example with a 6-person tent, they were only able to fit 5 comfortably. If they tried getting six adults in with the camping gear, it was a bit cramped.
@faithrada5 жыл бұрын
Tents are rated for max capity... no equipment or walking space. SO... 4 "person" tent typically handles 2 people & their equipment. A *6* person tent typically handles 3 adults & equipment If I had 10 people with all their equipment... for a whole week.. figuring it might rain at some point... I'd personally get TWO. *10* person tents to be comfortable. Plus a seperate cook tarp for Sun / Rain protection. Can't have enough good tarps... seriously. : )
