@@sturmmagnunstein1008 Soon in the geological scale maybe, as long as Miyazaki is breathing and directing, axes and hammers will get no love. I hardly realized how blatant it was until recently: 1/3rd (8 out of 23) of base weapon classes are swords. DLC add ANOTHER 3 swords out of 8 weapons classes. There is never more than 2 sword classes being bad at any time. They get the best and the most ashes of war including unique weapons. They have the best movesets. One of these always dominate pvp. The sword glazing is built in.

I always wonder what if elden ring had a system where spamming the same moves again and again will cause it to have lesser and lesser damage like in fighting games. 90% of pvp in this godforsaken game is just spamming the one move

Most fighting games don't have that, the only one I know of is Smash Bros. And rather than a bandaid fix like staling, maybe more weapons should have more than one decent move. Until this patch, colossal (non-sword) weapons had zero.

@Skullivon yeah true, the other moves are basically worthless and have little to no utility aside from mixup. Still though, I think it would be a good mechanic for elden ring. Also doesn't tekken have that mechanic?
