BigBang AKA The Kings of kpop AKA your favorite kpop group's favorite kpop group. They're cultural icons in South Korea. The government put them on stamps and everything. There's not one group in Kpop who aren't inspired by them. The idols from your favorite kpop groups who said their role models is an BigBang or one of their members are Jisoo, Rosé, and Jennie from Black Pink. Hoshi, THe8, Seungkwan, DK, S Coups from Seventeen. Jimin, Jungkook, J-Hope, Suga, Jin from BTS. They're just not as popular in the west because they had to do their military service right as Kpop started to take off in the west but they had plans to make their comeback at Coachella in 2020 but of course that didn't happen then the wheels fell off. BigBang popularized so much that the 3rd and 4th generation is just the Kpop industry copying their creativity. *Mini albums- The first EP that was called a mini album was BigBang's Always. The industry criticized YG for putting out EPs instead of full albums so the group decided to call Always a mini album to fight against the criticism. Also they were the first to combine mini albums together into one larger project with the MADE series. * Dyeing their hair bright colors- Before BigBang showed up with bright neon green, platinum blonde and hot pink in their hair for their Alive album comeback the craziest color you would see in an idol's hair was sandy blonde. You'll never see a comeback without dyed hair again. *Being a brand ambassador and going to Paris Fashion week- G dragon is the leader of BigBang and the first and only not only kpop idol but the first and only Asian invited to Paris Fashion week. Now going solo but staying in the group is now standard in Korea. *Having multiple rappers in a group- Before BigBang you had rappers and you had idols and they rarely had anything to do with each other. Every once in a while a song would have a rap verse but it wasn't consistent. Most groups didn't have a rapper. Until BigBang debuted and they had 2 who played off each other. The next crop of groups all had multiple rappers. They literally changed how companies built their groups. Also you can't get the full experience of BigBang by watching the MVs. BigBang magic comes from their live performances. They're not like Most kpop.groups. there's very little dancing but they are so connected and having so much fun with so much charisma it's captivating. Most VIPs don't sing the recorded version they always sing the live versions. Their older song have been re composed and no one sings the OG version anymore. Furthermore you won't find subtitles on kpop songs older than 2018. Kpop's audience was mostly in Asia and didn't consider English speaking fans. We had to wait for fan made translation videos back in the day. They still exist but it's a dying art. Luckily we BigBang fans have Dorian Gray. That guy is on a mission to translate everything BigBang ever did including live performances. Daesung (short blonde hair and can sing different styles well), T.O.P (blue hair and rapper), Seungri (short dark hair), G-Dragon (long red hair, rapper, can sing other styles well too, and leader), and Taeyang (crew cut). Unfortunately, you are correct. Last I heard they broke up due to drama. However, I've read that supposedly they will still perform together which is wonderful! I absolutely agree that they each have their own style but their styles work great together! Try watching Big Bang's Number 1! This song is in English. Also, their newest song Still Life has English subtitles.

Seventeen is one of the absolute best groups out there, and they are known as the top dancers in all of K-pop!!! Their whole discography is absolutely phenomenal, and has everything from beautiful slow ballads, to hard hitting energetic club bangers!!! You really can't go wrong with them!!! You should check out their "Killing Voice" for a great sampler of their songs thriugh the years! And definitely The Super Long Guide to Seventeen by caratline17 is the best guide out there right now!!! (The 2023 is the most current one) 🥰👍🏻 💎💗💙

There's 13 members in the group seventeen and two of the members are from usa. Joshua and Vernon they're the members who are fluent in English. That was a really good mv and song you pick out from seventeen. It's one of the reasons I started focusing on the group. I myself is still learning about seventeen it's only been a little over a month since I started learning all 13 members!!! Because in the past I only knew a few members.

ALSO you should check out their most recent Coachella performances on KZbin because they were AMAZING. Like literally AMAZING. For songs, DDU-DU was the one that blew them up and by far the most popular one so you could check that out. Their title tracks/songs with music videos are Whistle, Boombayah, Playing with Fire, As if it's your last, Ddu-du, Kill this Love, Lovesick Girls, How you like that, and Shut Down. And btw you can find a lot of clips/videos of them, many fans have made like compilations of Rosé's singing for instance or Jennie's singing or Lisa's rapping or etc. There's also KZbin videos Kpop fans make that are like "Guide to [insert Kpop group name]!!" which are entertaining and a good introduction to show all the members, little clips, give an overview, and become familiar with the group. btw sorry for all the long comments lol

I don't think anyone has as much as BTS is pretty right LMAO but yeah unfortunately YG's (one of the big 3 entertainment companies in South Korea which is who BLACKPINK are under and managed by) strategy for marketing them is to only give them one comeback (comeback is what we call a release, whether a single or album, in Kpop) like every 1-2 years 🥲 makes sense bc that way there's more build up and hype but it means they have quite a smaller discography compared to most third generation Kpop groups who debuted around the same time as them. This collaboration btw is probably the least favorite out of all black pink's collabs, both by their fans (blinks) and other Kpop fans lol, most people like the other ones more. The other ones are Sour Candy with Lady gaga, Bet you wanna with Cardi b, Kiss and make up with Dua Lipa. OOH OMG I NEED TO TELL YOU ALSO. *All of the members have their own solo careers/songs as well!* Jennie's solo debut was called Solo (yes ironic LOL) which was extremely popular I also loved it and it's one of my fav songs from them. Since she has come out with one more solo song called You and Me which is also pretty good IMO. Jisoo's solo song is called Flower, Rosé's solo debut was On the Ground (more upbeat and lighthearted) but she also has Gone (more chill and sad and sing songy), and Hard to Love (which I really like and so do a lot of others, it's also technically actually a song on the group's album Born Pink). Lisa's solo debut was two songs, Lalisa and Money, most people liked money a lot and more than lalisa, I do as well but I like lalisa too. Recently, however, all the BLACKPINK members actually left YG for their *individual solo careers* so while as a group they are still together and signed to YG their individual activities are now NOT managed by YG. Jennie, Jisoo, and Lisa started their own companies while Rosé signed with TheBlackLabel, a YG subsidiary (whose CEO is actually BLACKPINK's main producer). So since then Lisa just released another solo song called Rockstar and is currently teasing some more, I think next one comes out in like two days on August 15th, and one of them is a collab with Rosalia!

She is Korean Australian (ethnically Korean but grew up in Australia) so she speaks English fluently and has an Aussie accent. *Lisa* is the main dancer and known for being one of the best dancers in the industry. She has a very fun/energetic and cool vibe. She actually ends up having more rap verses than Jennie in some songs despite being the lead rapper and not the main LOL. She's an ambassador for Celine and Bulgari. She is Thai, from Thailand, and she speaks Korean, English, and Thai fluently. She's very popular internationally. Aaand yeah!
