Vraiment impressionnant de voir la force 💪 de grimper sur un tel mur avec des obstacles à la verticale ce qui doit demander beaucoup de force dans les doigts 😊

Why did the judges interrupt at the first boulder? Is it because of the screw holes that the competitors aren't allowed to use? But why wouldn't they just block the holes then

why when they fall off do they make a signing motion with their hands?
@miri5585 күн бұрын
They're giving a sign that they want the holds to be brushed :)
@devincwheatley5 күн бұрын
@@miri558 ahh makes sense, so they stop the timer and it gets brushed? thank you!
@miri5584 күн бұрын
@@devincwheatley The timer doesn't stop but as the athletes usually are taking a few seconds rest between their trys, there is no time problem. Also all the holds are getting a good brush between each athlet, so the "in between brushes" are only needed for some especially nasty holds ;)

it amazes me every time how climbers with low muscle mass can do these things. The amount of tension they can generate is insane

I think they should add 2 extra minutes in finals, such a shame that all of the athletes struggled with time, anyway great performances of them all!!

Setters and judges all really failed on this one. Boulder 2 in particular. But the number of climbers that had to be stopped on Boulder 4, even though the announcers had seen the 'starting position' multiple times and were still confused on what everyone was doing wrong makes me wonder what the idea was there too.

Just watching W1 ... I really would love to see 2 tiers of bouldering competitions. "Classic/Rock Climbing" ones and then routes like W1 as a "circus freak" line ... then you could finally split the "speed climbing" together with the "clown boulders" from the actual sport at the Olympics and everyone is happy ...

still hate how the camermen switch at critical (and moments to learn from) to close-ups so we can't see the actual moves the climbers make. xD Like, I wanna learn from these girls and see how they tackle some boulders for inspiration, but then they don't show them when something interesting happens... >.<

that should obviously count.... he would have been fine if he was climbing ,,, and he still did it,.. therefore it should count ... the rule he broke is just a preferance... otherwise why would it matter how fast he jumps from the first ledge lol
