Thanks for the excellent comparison between these spreaders. Spyker has listed on their site that the blue salt spreader will work with seed and fert, but it lacks calibrated number or letter settings? I'd be in the dark with various ferts and chems. Looks awesome , but I was hoping I could use it for summer work as well. Also, I loved that you pointed out that the setting dial on the black model was really difficult to see. It's those little things that kill you when you're using them all day. Lol on the ice spreader comment.

Get a rechargeable bicycle headlight kit on Amazon for it. Use the strobe taillight on your handle👍

Did you move the orange flashers from the rops bar to the fenders ? Or is that the way your tractor came cause mine had holes on the fender ready for lights but flasherson the rops
@mil-speclandscaping67015 жыл бұрын
No Sir, that's the way it came. We just added the lights to the ROPS.

Cool I have to led 1600 lumen floods to put on I’m gonna move my flashers to the fenders and buy two ten or twelve inch light bars and set it up like yours I also bought a wiring harness and kit but I’m going to keep referring to this video and may be contacting you while I set it up! I’m no electrician and not the best with wiring. I have a bunch of heat shrinks and different gauge fittings. Never soldered before but I like those wirefly crimps you have they look simple and effective. I’m an equipent operator I run a d8t primarily and all my leds and strobes are done by my mechanic team or the cat guys so I am kinda spoiled but gonna tackle my tractor lights cause I’m a fast learner and fairly handy.

So at the moment I don’t have the strobes or the light bars just the two flood lights. In your opinion should I buy the others and do them all at once or is it just as easy or not to bad anyway, to do two now, save a little and do the rest at a later date ? If so is there any particular methodology when it comes to wiring that would be valuable to know while doing this ?
@mil-speclandscaping67015 жыл бұрын
@@J4k3roi21 Either way works and it's not a long distance to wire, so you could always add on later. You may find that you don't need any other lights. The key is to make sure that your relays, switches, wire, and fuses are all rated high enough for the lights you're installing. It's pretty straightforward, not much different than how a light switch works. Inline fuses protect your light bar from getting blown (i.e. the fuse will blow first) and the switch simply opens/closes the circuit. Some people don't use fuses, but I always use fuses in any circuit that has fluctuations in power (battery, alternator, starter, etc.)

How did this work for top dressing?
@mil-speclandscaping67015 жыл бұрын
It didn't work. Tried it with peat moss and compost. Neither one spread.☹
@spykerspreaders5 жыл бұрын
@@mil-speclandscaping6701, you should be able to spread both peat moss and compost. Our Winter Spreader has the extra large rate gate opening and the heavy duty agitator that the Mulch-N-More Spreader has. You just have to ensure that the moisture content is above 35%, otherwise, the material will not flow through any of our spreaders. Please feel free to contact our Customer Service Team at (877) 728-8224, they would be happy to assist!

@@spykerspreaders I'll give it a shot again with some material that's more dry next time. It was a little damp.

@@mil-speclandscaping6701 You ever get this unit to work with topdressing of any kind?
@daven36295 жыл бұрын
I'm looking at Spyker for spreading fertilizer. Is the Accuway Diffuser require frequent adjustment? Is it difficult to get a nice even spread? I see that you've moved it on the black spreader. Thanks!
@mil-speclandscaping67015 жыл бұрын
It doesn't require frequent adjustment and it's held up great so far. Just make sure to wash it off after each use so the fertilizer doesn't harm the metal components.👍
