quick tip for you if you want to pregame. When youre on the course you want to learn about, click where it says course search on the right. its not an actual search box, it will link you to the full course videos/books so you can start the full course before even signing up. look for the one that says cohort videos.

How did the practice exams compare to the actual tests? Were the practice ones harder, easier, or about the same?
@lifelearning74378 күн бұрын
The practice tests were once the actual tests themselves, but are no longer used. I would say they are similar! As long as you practice and receive the goal score you need to pass, you should be absolutely fine! Also when you register for an exam with Praxis, they do give you a free practice test. Very helpful days before!

Hey I love your channel it is really inspiring and motivational to see your journey. I’m currently taking a few courses on Sophia to transfer over to WGU in hopes of accelerating my time there as well. I plan to teach in Texas elementary English language arts. Growing up I always want it to be a teacher. I can remember them asking maybe fourth grade or so. “ what do you want to be when you grow up?” I remember writing on my paper that I wanted to be a teacher however I did cut a deviate from that mainly because people would say teachers don’t make much money and you won’t be able to really live off of a teacher salary so I finished high school I wanted to nursing school Nursing wasn’t really my love. I liked it and it did give me a pretty good salary, but it’s just not what I wanted to do with the rest of my life especially after Covid. During Covid, I got pregnant for the first time with my twins, and I left the profession because I did not want to put them at risk. Since having my babies, I have been a stay at home work from home mom I’ve started working in Finance mainly because I didn’t have to go into the office. I could work home and still be with my babies as I did suffer from postpartum depression for a while now my babies are too and will be three in October, and I want to give teaching a try. I’m honestly not sure how I found your channel just popped up on my feed one day and I watched one of your videos and you really inspired me that this is possible even with having so many years out of school I had heard of WGU but I wasn’t very familiar with it, so I did some research found out more about the program and I’m excited to start once I finish my Sofia courses. I want to be a teacher because this was my first love as a child and I’d really like to give it try, especially now that I have kids and can see firsthand the joy they have on their faces when they learn something new or when they finally get something they’ve been trying to get for a while and the excitement and the accomplishment they feel, I would love to continue to see that only in my kids, but other kids too. And to be able to teach at the same school, my kids attend would be amazing

Hello! I've been lurking on your channel for a while. I'm starting my MAT in Elementary Education at WGU on August 1st, so your videos have been extremely helpful. I'm looking to teach in New Jersey, not sure of the grade level yet, but I seem to gravitate more to the upper elementary students. My road to becoming a teacher is pretty unconventional. I graduated with my bachelor's in Communications back in 2021 and was excited to enter the marketing field. Unfortunately, I struggled to find a job and, during this time, I began tutoring ESL online to adults worldwide. I loved the impact I was making and decided to give up on marketing and focus solely on tutoring. I don't have too much experience with children, since I've spent the last 3 and a half years tutoring adults, but I recently started a new job in January tutoring U.S. children from K-8 in literacy instruction. While it was a little scary for me at first, I found that children, even in the upper grades, still struggle with the elementary literacy skills so the work I do as a tutor is very important to me. I finally decided to become a teacher because I wanted to continue that impact on a larger scale. Tutoring is great, however, your pay fluctuates wildly based on who books you, and most companies don't pay well despite the effort you put into it. I'm still nervous about teaching, but I think with a little more confidence, I can become an effective teacher for the next generation. Thank you for allowing me to share my story. I hope you have a great weekend! 😊

The point isn't to pass, these are really for you, so if you don't do as well no worries. This won't hold you back. The assessment that you have to submit is very simple, but if you have to resubmit, it's okay, too. I recommend taking the Orientation as early as you can. So far, I haven't seen any issues with the assessment. You got this, it's very easy!

Does the number of questions on the exam vary depending on the course? Or is the same number of questions for each exam? Sorry if you explained that part I could have missed it.
@lifelearning74372 ай бұрын
It varies depending on the course. Usually, it will be very similar to the pre-assessment. So if there's 60 questions on the pre-assessment, more than likely it will be 60 for the objective assessment.
