These people are the real heroes along with First Responders, Police, ect. NOT bloody movie stars, spoiled-brat athletes, social influencers and the likes. My ❤ goes out to ALL the "unsung heroes". ❤

Dr Peter Janetta saved my life in 2000, I was 38, having bad headaches in my frontal lobe of my head, my brain was pushing into my Cranium no room. He was the kindness Dr. I have ever met. He did the microvascular decompression cutting out a half an inch of bone from ear to ear put in a 4-inch by 4-inch Teflon pad over my spinal column. The headaches went away, he always came out and pointed at long finger at you he studied the way you got out of that chair you came into his room he took your coat off for you and hung it up. Thank God for that man.

You might enjoy this piece that I wrote about Dr. Jannetta after he passed. It may give you an insight into how his kindness permeated everything he did. www.markmclaughlinmd.com/articles/passing-doctor-peter-jannetta

You surgeons work your tail off to get where you are in life! I'm an RN (retired) & have seen first hand the hard hard work & long hours to get to your level, well done!

I have all these symptoms and have had them for years... And none of my Drs think this is an emergency... So frustrating and all I'm doing is getting worse.

This was so interesting to me. ( Applicable, and getting worse, at my age). I commend your patience and carefulness in waiting on the literature and studying. I also commend your logic-indisputible. (just one ex.: "burn less bridges"). With your years of experience, instead of burning out, you stay and get more informed. So great. 💞

I was not vibing with this dude at all. From the moment she asked a pre-op question and he wouldn’t give her his full attention. I would have noped out of there. My cardiologist never rushes me. When I ask a question he usually pulls up his heart model, shows me an ECG to illustrate a point, or pulls up data points from heart monitors I’ve worn. He showed up early to talk to me in pre-op. He also wears a backpack. Not a Rolex. I like a nerd doctor. Not a jock doc.

Is it possible to get cauda equina symptoms or similar higher up in the spine? I fractured C7, Th4 and Th5 in 2009. It healed well without surgery. But last week I did a very heavy wrong lifting and felt something wrong in the thoracic level, with pain all the way down to the lower back. Sensation problems with bowel, less force while emptying. Some sensation issues in penis and while urinating. My doctor says lumbago and pain meds for 2 weeks, but I’m not totally convinced.

Not up in your spine. It's in the lower lumbar and the nerves going down to your pelvis and legs. I had a c6 c7 fusion I tore a nerve off my spinal cord feeding my horses. ..now my lower back is so bad..
