Honest opinions, I'm treating this as a reboot to GITCG, going back to the simpler version. Highly doubt they'll implement anything close to Bonecrushers/Melusines in the future and they'll probably cut them entirely. I can still keep up with some of the newer mechanics but yeah some of them are gonna be a pain to keep track. As with your sentiment about how they're treating the digital card game, yeah, I agree that they seem to be completely ignoring it now after we haven't gotten any balance patches nor any news on tournaments for 2~3 patches now. But for the physical TCG, I think they're trying to make this an actual TCG with sanctioned tournaments with local card shops. And seeing as how there's actually monetary gain for Hoyo for the physical card game, I think they'll support it more than the digital game (sadly to say). As for the quality of the cards, personal opinion, G0 and G1 cards are very shoddily made, G0 feels like cheap cardboard which is fine for a starter deck and they just want to get newcomers to try the game, G1 foiling feels way too glossy and even causes significant bending now that I look at them. And yes, from the comment of my video, the G0 printing of some cards like starsigns and tossup feel off, the colors make them feel like bootleg cards. G2 to G4 cards are higher quality imo, the attention to detail with different textured foiling on the G4 Diluc is actually decent (Checkerboard texture on his coat, a linear texture on his pants imitating actual pants, glossy texture on his hair, and an invisible phoenix texture in the background of the art).

No Childe/XQ in this first set, there's a lot of characters that aren't released yet so we'll have to wait

I got all of them off Lazada, personally I think any card sleeves will do if you're just using them for gameplay, just look for any reputable TCG accessory store from the platform of your choice. But for collection purposes, I have been told to get specifically get *"KMC Perfect Fit Sleeves"* since they are double sleeved and are perfect fits which minimize the exposure to air (especially since I live in a tropical climate), which is better for collectors who want to protect their cards - The purple sleeves: www.lazada.com.my/products/i3395908557-s21031750482.html - The plastic card holder for the Diluc: www.lazada.com.my/products/i3396656149-s20485681287.html (I wouldn't recommend this card holder, it's a bit rough around the edges, literally, but for the price I think it's decent since I plan on getting the KMC sleeves soon)

I'm not too familiar with other physical TCGs so take my review with a grain of salt. For action cards specifically, the card backs all have a patterned texture to it that feels pretty good, character cards have inconsistent finishes which I'll go into detail: - G0 = They have a sort of cheap cardboard feel imo, the character cards have this texture at the front, but at the back they have a better matte finish which feels nicer - G1 = The front side is entirely glossy but the backside for characters/accessory cards have the flat texture as with the front side of the G0 cards - G2 = The texture of the foil is not as glossy and slightly textured which feels nicer imo, the foiling is used in the background of the art and the foreground is not foiled to make it stand out (ie: the Ganyu G2), the character card back also has a nicer matte finish compared to G1 - G3 = The foiling is very shiny and you can even feel the lineart of the cards, the character card back has a flower-patterned texture that feels similar to the G2 card but looks more dynamic with the pattern - G4 = Using my Diluc as an example, individual parts of the card have unique foiling, his hair has a glossy finish, his pants has a linear foiling that imitates actual pants texture, his coat has a checkerboard foiling, and the background has foiling that looks like a phoenix hidden in the art (I genuinely wouldn't have noticed it if it wasn't for your comment), the backside of the card has similar foiling but it's less busy and not as shiny, similar to the G3 front and it doesn't have the hidden phoenix foiling

The back of the physical character cards are textless so.... close enough. The trade-off of having no Live2D is having foiled cards and a more accessible way to play TCG (if they ever decide to release it globally. Also seriously why the hell did they lock it behind AR32, it turns off so many potential players)

@20DX00 Its kinda sad really. I like card games...I hate Hoyo but I still find some ways to enjoy genshin. Yet the ingame tcg feels super slow to play. And most matches go like the last ones. The item cards only buff some things, heal you or make you waste less dice...but the actual way of playing is always the same. It also takes a really long time to get your desired cards ingame and you have to play too many matches to level up. This entire game just takes too long. Would explain why not a lot of players are interested at all and always go "Oh a new event?! Ah man...just stupid TCG again...who cares?!"

On copium that hopefully we get enough attention from global players so that they will release translated versions of these cards in the future

I am unable to buy more cards in china atm because everything is sold out. Thats good i guess. The game seems to be pretty successful over there.
