I started school years 1954 at this lovely old.school, my parents were fairly new to the village moving there after the war. I so, so missed my home for years and years after moving to New Zealand in 1973. I have a very strong attachment to White Horse hill even after all these years spent here NZ and Australia, Funny seeing views of this HUGE village, attended Methodist chapel the Williams family from South Marsdon were wonderful, setting a little seed in my heart. Ha yeah ! what a struggle God has with me. Lots of singing in my house, and at both schools, we loved singing at our house, though I told to leave St Andrews choir, the master did not like chewing gum much, these were the days of adults only giving one warning ahe . Bit miffed but was cold and damp in winter. Remember sneaking in to Beckett Hall grounds to go fishing in school holidays with out a permit keeping a lookout for bike riding internal police ha! ha what fun. Scouts at Watchfield I just loved the best. Cycling to W Horse cool. My parents never new where I was, Barry Knapp n me would slip into the firing range within Royal Military to dig out out 303 bullets, we got away with all sorts but never ever any sort of vandalism, what freedom ahe . Was at Farindon Secondary same time as Pammie Ayres, yeah Pam it was a pretty rough school remember being dragged by hair, ears or what ever for a bit of slapping around by those same teachers.Cheers to Shrivenham best memories thank you Robert Smith.

Nice parachute drops, the speed is nice and safe. Here is a link to the thread in which at post 29 I've presented my own project of a home made parachute recovery system in a 8 kg 50cc gas plane which was tested on the ground and in the air. Recently I've changed the parachute material from nylon sheet to nylon texture like that of an umbrella which is far more resistant. It turned out the first material was not strong enough, as I've tested one in the air (an 3m one made in similar manner to the one of 5m diameter that is presented in the post). www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2117339&page=2#post30476822

not sure what you mean hovering?? there's no way I was hovering, most of the time I was trying to keep it from hitting the hedge what with updraft/downdraft and gust/rotor from the surrounding trees pushing it all over the place, I was watching the gimbal and it was working always keeping the camera level, next time I'll use my head cam to show how much it was tipping all over the place in such a small area
@Dan-un4vt9 жыл бұрын
If you were hovering most of the time? Most gimbals will not show Right to Left or side to side movement or up and down! When just Hovering!

as you know brushless motors have 3 wires if you change any 2 the motor will run the other way so I fitted a servo to a small 2 way switch that changed 2 wires over to make the motor turn the other way, then when ready I just flicked a switch on my TX to change direction of the motor

Nice! Could you please explain a little bit how did you do it? Thanks!

Hi Stonerscolony what I didn't mention in the video was that my wife at the side of the field shouted out that the local police helicopter had just taken off from the police HQ just the other side of the field and was coming my way low!! and it was a last minute decision to land, I had intended to climb-up again, it was a good landing for a plough field but I cut the vid a bit short so you didn't see how nice it landed BTW I normally land closer to myself that that. thanks for your comment
@FaTeDev_com13 жыл бұрын
nice video, can I suggest seeing as your in the middle of a field with plenty of glide path room you take a less aggressive dive for landing lol.
