I know this is 4 years old but help me, im confused. You cut the bottoms off the bamboo but when you show it going into the tank it had roots... what happened?

Why do you have the end side plates bearing on top of the bottom plate -but the long side plates are butted up to the edge of the bottom plate. Isn't it best to have all the vertical side plates on top of the bottom plate?

Just a note: That is not any kind of "bamboo". It's a terrestrial plant called "Dracaena Sanderiana." White substrate is not recommended for most freshwater fish. They're much more comfortable with a darker, more natural substrate.

Hey I have used black substrate and hidden it using white sand however due to some mistake white layer has slightly washed out and black substrate is coming up, any idea how can I reset my tank and set it up from scratch and keep both soil separate
