OHH COOL are you converting 006 to hydraulic?😉😂 AMAZED to see a Grid in preservation. The old Ruston-Paxman 16RK3CT are SUPERB units. I think Rolls -Royce fit them in their cars? WELL DONE. That would be SUPERB on a Railtour on the ML. Is the AWS all up to date, cab radio etc?

I'm quite happy with the Maybach lumps we normally look after and the little V6 Paxman in D9531. Not my call to make regarding railtours. Its still not worked at train on the ELR yet so don't get too carried away with the mainline. No gsmr or otmr so would need that at a start plus a whole load of cash!

Great question! I’m not entirely sure how many places 56006 has visited during its preservation, but from what I remember, it did make a trip to the West Somerset Railway (WSR) around June 2015. @@J0nnyGT Thanks for your answer to my question. So it's not like your pushing say 4 coaches and the train loco say 6 coaches............or anything like that. You push just enough that the train loco can keep the train moving at a resonable speed..........Route knowledge of the driver knowing when to push a bit more or ease off a little to keep the speed constant..........That's interesting, Thankyou.

You are absolutely spot on with this comment. The rubber (or what was left of it!!) was extremely soft and resembled more of a texture to silicone. The other doughnut is on order and should be with us soon. This will be fit very soon ready for the locos next turn. When doing this work it’s a clear that we have lots to do with on this old engine.
