UGGGHHH another game where you are asking young adults/singles to HOLD HANDS! Just STOP! Youth leaders, do not ask kids or singles to hold hands - many kids have extreme anxiety and they get sweaty hands and will not ever want to come back to church. Please just don't! This would be the most HORRIFYING game for young adults with severe anxiety.

OOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO This was my BIGGEST fear ever during youth group, that we would have a game or event where we would be asked to hold hands! I suffered from extreme trauma and anxiety during my teens and 20's and could not control having sweaty hands - I used to fear this so badly that I would get sick. PLEASE youth leaders do NOT ask kids or young adults to hold hands for any events or activities. You don't know how much stress this causes and it actually caused me to shy away and not want to go to church or camp. Make it a safe place and don't make them hold hands.

I am in youth ministry in uk , I can give you some ideas of the games, but today here's one, an icebreaker game is to hold a blanket and once the blanket fall each player from the opposite needs to say not his name but other's person name

this looks like this game i play with my students called birds of prey. the person at the front of the line of each team will flip a quarter. if its heads they squeeze the hand of the person next to them and they'll pass it down. if its tails then nothing. the team that gets the item first rotates ( the person in front moves to the back). the game ends when the person who started in the front is back at the front.

Crown Tag: -Everyone is a tagged except for one person who has the “crown”. -When the person with the crown is tagged the person who tagged then gets the crown they start getting chased by everyone.

As a after school summer teacher the kids loved it however I have a question , let’s say we call the number 1, and obviously one person grabs a chair and the other doesn’t , what happens to the player who stays standing who got to the chair too late? If you call their number again(in this case it’s 1) , it’s only one person left , what do you do?

We do the line break rule and make them spin around the trash can. It’s easier to affect the trajectory of a circle than one standing still.

Then it’s just a race to the seats and not an actual game of tic tac toe. Not necessary to play that way. Just to make the game more interesting.

If it’s more helpful, I can. Break up into two teams, give everyone a number and make sure each team has a counterpart with the same number. Set up a 3x3 grid of chairs. Call a number and the two people with the same number race to a chair of their choice and make their symbol with their arms (X or O). First to claim a spot gets the square. First team to complete a tic-tac-toe wins.
