I never installed it nor had it but I can't seem to stop it. I disabled it in the google settings, turned off the mic access... it STILL pops up!

If you are finding that it pops up whilst typing, you need to do the following; Settings > Display > Navigation Bar > toggle off Assistant App It pops up from a lower left/right swipe.

I refuse to use voice recognition, that is going a step too far, yet another blackmail from muckrosoft. How can we turn off this pesky intruder witout stepping further into it controlling what information I give?

Everybody file a complaint with the Better business bureau on Google, tell them how much of Google assistant is on and it won't leave you alone. I fully agree, I had the pop up issue on for almost 2 years even though Google assistant is completely disabled, it goes on every minute 24 hours a day, I can't stand it either.

Hey everyone, thanks for watching! Some viewers mentioned that even after following the steps shown in the video, Google Assistant keeps popping up. Here's a quick fix: Just turn off microphone access for the Google app in your phone's settings. This will stop Assistant from listening until you turn it back on. Follow the below steps to remove permission from Google app Android: 1. Open your phone's Settings app. 2. Tap on "Apps" or "Apps & notifications" depending on your device. 3. Find the "Google" app on the list. You might need to tap "See all apps" if it's not on the initial list. 4. Tap on the "Google" app to open its app info page. 5. Tap on "Permissions." 6. Find "Microphone" in the list of permissions. 7. Tap on the toggle switch next to "Microphone" to turn it off. This will disable microphone access for the Google app. iPhone: 1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone. 2. Scroll down and tap on "Privacy." 3. Tap on "Microphone." 4. Find the "Google" app on the list. 5. Tap the toggle switch next to "Google" to turn it off. This will disable microphone access for the Google app on your iPhone. I disabled both Google Assistant and Speech Recognition and systemsis. Now I also disabled the microphone from Google. Hopefully that helps. I will disable all microphone apps if necessary, after all I don't really use the phone as a phone. Its strictly a wifi only device. Also I am planning on dabbling in ADB, which is a developer setting meant to completely delete apps that I don't use in order to free up memory space

So annoying. It only happens when I have an auxiliary cable plugged in for my car. I've done everything even disabling the voice assistance but it still keeps popping up every 5 seconds.

Mine is in off mode for assistant but that does not stop it from continuously showing a pop up with a prompt to turn it on. How can we remove it completely from our phones ? ( Lives ) forever ????🥴

Ideally it should not happen as you are facing issue with Google assistant simply try the below steps 1- Open the Settings app on your Android device. 2- Tap on Apps & notifications > Advanced > Default apps. 3- Under Assist app, make sure both the Assist app and Assist device app are set to None. If you won't be able to find the steps in your phone settings then just simply help me with make and model of your so that I can help you with exact steps for it

@@ReticentSage I am hoping this bit keeps me from getting the pop up. I have tried EVERYTHING I've ever learned online to stop this annoying pop up, everything discussed in this video. But I did find what you just mentioned about selecting "none" instead of "Google" for the digital assistant. We shall see.

@@ReticentSage a tech at the cellular provider I use was able to remove just the Assistant app. I was skeptical and I told her so. She replied "well I removed the app, so....". I did manage to go about one day without the pop up. But the pop up did appear different, more "basic" is the best way I can describe it. A day or two later it hit me what might be happening. I am a hearing aid wearer. You can tap one ear (the left) to stop streaming (I stream TV into my aids). I was occasionally getting a message spoken into my aids about "turning on Bluetooth to activate Google Assistant". Very irritating. What dawned on me is about the same time that happened is when I'd get the pop up. So I looked at my hearing aid app at what's called "tap settings". Sure enough, the tap setting on my right aid was set to "digital assistant". So the aids thought I was calling up Assistant, but there was no Assistant there! Since changing that setting, there has been no pop up.

Yea. Don't we all. I'm going to use Android Debug Bridge (ADB) to delete both google assistant and Facebook. Its a long winded method that requires you to plug your phone into a computer via USB cable. That way you can delete all apps that are technically "undeletable" BTW-- I can't find Google Assistant on my google settings menu. I just disabled it from apps in two different settings, yet it sometimes gets triggered by the side key (sigh). uggh. need to remove. Badly.

QR Code generator by Bitly (n.4) is misleading. We created the code, did printing and sticker labeling for all the cars and now it doesn't work any more. Bittly even never replied to our email (even though we got their support ticket). Sorry, "mr. Robot voice", this list is not OK.
