It's amazing this show turned out as good as it did with the mess going on behind the scenes.

Transformers: Prime is my CHILDHOOD! I haven’t watched it since I was 6. 8 years later and my KZbin channel only exists because I didn’t want people at school to know that I watch Transformers . I’m honestly still embarrassed because NO ONE at my school knows about transformers, and if they do, they only know about Bayverse.

It also really helps that TF:ONE commissions the same composer as TFP and the Prime theme was made to great use in that film. The beginning chorus in the track "Resting Place of the Primes" and in 1:46 of the track "The Fall" in particular.

I actually grew up with the Unicron Trilogy (Armada, Energon, Cybertron) but I consider TFP to be the best merging of G1 and the movies. The fact you have BOTH Peter Cullen AND Frank Welker returning to reprise their iconic roles is cool enough but it also tells a good story. Also Knockout is best character.

Transformers One was amazing

Pretty great series, except for one critical flaw carried over from the bayverse, aka broken voice box Bumblebee. Never should've been a thing.

Learning that Cliff-jumper was played by the rock now makes me fine with his death in the Prime Universe.

I recently took my girlfriend through the transformers prime journey for the first time as her only tf experiences were bumblebee and rotb so before we watch tf one I decided we should watch it and she fell in love with the show and characters

The Autobots were also really well written characters with interesting stories and personalities: Arcee with her sass and snark, alongside her very personal and dark backstory. Bumblebee’s (relative) youthfulness and energy, combined with his drive to show his potential and strength. Bulkheads own personal conflict and self doubts on his role as the big (dumb) brawler. Ratchet rigidness and struggles to adopt to new/different ways of thinking. And Primes constant need to remain stoic and strong yet also kind and compassionate. Each of the Autobots really felt like their own individuals and own identity, and no show or movie has really come close since then (maybe Transformers One)

Knockout was the best part of TFP, and you will not convince me otherwise.

I watched the new movie today. You can tell that it was really made with love for transformers. My favorite moment is when Orion Pax becomes Optimus prime the music playing in the background is the same tune that played during Bumblebee's death in TFP

Hell yes! the early 2010's was a Excellent time to be a transformers fan. Keep in mind I grew up on beast wars, beast machines, and the unicron trilogy series. I got into TF prime in highschool and nothing transformers wise has reached that greatness, not even this new film. I saw it and I enjoy the serious emotional moments, but compared to the aligned continuity's origin. This ain't it. It's to simplified and dumb down. I read the exodus novel before hand and so I have a higher expectation of what the story should've been in the new film and because of that. I couldn't enjoy it as much as everyone else who praises it. It's like eating healthy your whole life and you decide to try McDonald's for the first time ever because you heard good things about it. So you give it a try and are completely underwhelmed and disappointed. TF prime will always hold the pedestal of what a transformers series should and must be. Something serious and treats the audience with respect and intelligence with slight elements of comedy, drama, and plenty of action. A show or movie that can make you think and feel and grow, that impacts and sets an example of what a hero should be and the sacrifices they make. That is what this show brought and that is not what I saw in that new film. Just a simplified, butchered, and rushed origin story of 2 of the greatest transformers characters of the franchise for the tiktok generation. No thanks, I'll stick to TF prime, the cybertron games, the comics, the novels, and the aligned continuity. Absolute peak transformers😤💪

I watched transformers prime a long time ago and didn't remember any of it so I decided to watch it again... in school. I watched almost the entire series in my classes.

After Optimus put Unicron's spark in stasis, there came the War of the Primes, which led to the deaths of Solus Prime(who's body became the Well of Allsparks) and Leige Maximo(who is the Loki of Transformers so it's obvious why he was killed), and led to Megatronus Prime renaming himself the Fallen and leaving Cybertron. The rest of the Primes decided to "leave center stage" and Optimus chose to be reborn as an ordinary bot, only to be reawakened with the Matrix of Leadership under the most extreme of conditions. And Transformers Prime is my all-time favorite Transformers series! I may have been introduced to the series through the Bayverse movies, but Prime became my favorite!

I always always love the show. There's a great show, but it was the last cartoon that was great from transformers.

Peter Cullen once said that his delivery of Optimus was meant to show the character was "strong enough to be gentle", TF Prime Optimus perfectly embodies this

What is also very smart about the megatron and optimus fights.. notice how at the end of season one that was the very first time Optimus fought Megatron to kill him. And he won... uuuntil the planets aligned and Megatron got one insane power boost from unicron and dark energon. Not plot armour.. Optimus was juuuust a bit too late.. which it also showed that he still was struggling to actually finish Megatron off. Yes Optimus did lose the fight with the sabers but obtaining the key was the highest priority not killing megatron.. and it also showed that Megatron being a gladiator can handle heavy weapons like the sabers they were fighing with. The details are still insane.

One of the biggest compliments of mine for this show is that.. the antagonists are an actual threat... you know they are dangerous. And even they have their own character development! It is not a "We are bad guys and we will do bad stuff because we want to"

Ah, what a hit of nostalgia. Loved this show so much as a kid. And this was the only show where I genuinely wished we saw more of the humans and them spending more time with the Autobots. While it isn't as big of a deal now, back then it was TRULY GUTWRENCHING for me (I think I didn't watch TV for a good week). I really hope we get a reboot of this someday that keeps what made this show great, but expands upon it, so that we get more episodes, maybe a season or two to transition into the finale a bit more naturally. I mean we didn't address the incident of zombie Airachnid turning a Cybertronian moon into a Zombie insecticon nest, not to mention how quickly the Predacons (the season's namesake) went from being plot relevant to a filler goose chase. Season 3 just felt rushed/poorly paced and is the only thing holding it back from being THE timeless masterpiece of Transformers.

I should rewatch this show.

Transformers Prime in nutshel: - One of the best Transformers series - Looks briliant after 11 years - Intresting character and personality design

What always irked me about this show were 2 big things. 1st: The 3rd season was filled with missed opportunities and insanely rushed because Hasbro was pulling the plug for reasons? Idk maybe the animation got too expensive lol. 2nd: Every good thing that happened for the Autobots was almost immediately undone within the same episode or the very next episode, it was awful in season 2. Bumblebee's T-Cog stolen, they get the Forge, Megatron immediately shows up and shoots Bulkhead in the back. (How did he instantly know when to jump in? Was lazerbeak watching?). Smokescreen knocks Starscream out of his armor, Starscream immediately shoots the large chunk of red energon below OP, Bumblebee and Arcee. (You have THREE Autobots there! HOW can you not just hold one down and grab it!?). Optimus obtains the Star Saber, immediately destroyed the very next episode. Autobots open the Omega Lock, cons show up with captured humans. (The single biggest mission of the entire war and you allow the cons to capture your weakest allies? Gross tactical error).

The reason megatron was different is because when he was revived the first time he wasn’t technically dead more like he was in a coma on life support

I've been a TF fan since G1 and I agree with you, Prime is the best we've gotten. While I appreciate Michael Bay for reinvigorating the franchise, I'm really hoping he stays out of it now.
