What if the platelet count has dropped over 100,000 from what it normally is? My boyfriend's is normally 250,000 but it's now 136,000. The lab range was 137,000 to 450,000 Nurse who plays Doctor says, it Fluctuates and that it is NOT low. I tried to tell her that it is LOW FOR HIM. His is always 250,000 to 300,000 and now with 136,000 it has me concerned. There is a TREND.
