I miss them so much. I miss old Top Gear. And the trio looked far better without beards, like they are today. Vietnam Special is the very best Top Gear episode. Funny that the best Top Gear episode is with motorbikes.

Kinda agree. I miss the Stig cousins jokes, and the less obvious scripted scenes.

Top gear put Vietnam on the map . I’ve seen so many people do the Saigon to Hanoi or Hanoi to Saigon Road trip. Lived here for 10 years and still extremely happy .

I respect all actors in this movie, however I don't think the script writer and director of this movie has done any good. Why show westerners destroying ancient idols of gods? This movie disrespects Buddhism and Hinduism and also shows that westerners envy rich asian culture and its heritage. They can't create and therefore are jealous of ancient culture. How would they feel if someone here shows destroying holy cross?

The Royal Ploughing Ceremony is indeed a centuries-old tradition in Cambodia. It's a significant cultural event that celebrates the start of the farming season. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

If you read about the history this area, and the effort to find it, it's truly impressive! Phnom Kulen was the blueprint for the Angkor complex, with many of the same features. It was also the last bastion of Pol Pot's Khmer Rouge before their defeat; they still occasionally find unexploded mines! it was also the capitol of King Jayavarman II, who pulled together several principalities and formed the Khmer Empire!
@HanumanTravelCambodia4 ай бұрын
That's a great point! It's truly impressive how much history is packed into this area. The connection between Mahendraparvata and Angkor is fascinating, and the fact that it was the last stronghold of the Khmer Rouge makes it even more significant. Thank you for sharing your insights.

This is an ancient Hindu Temple, of South Indian design; you can see the Havan Kund (in green coloured stone) where the firewood would have been burned during prayers on auspicious days.
