I think Dave was right , it definitely looked like alot of people rent long term , it was also affordably priced for like you said an older campground . Overall it looked a simple nice cheap not too noisy place to stay on your journey. Especially when your hauling your personal comfort (Dixie) with you , nice and easy to get into also as we've seen some nightmares in the past for sure . Looking forward to the next episode as always, take care both of 👊

Yep, it's a place to stop over, but I wouldn't want it to be my 2 week vacation location. But we'd go back there again for a short stay.

I broke my ankle badly back in June 2024 and my hubby was my arms and legs for quite a few months. He cooked our meals (luckily he is very good at that), cleaned house, administered my drugs, did laundry and wheeled me places, made sure I didn't fall. I was non weight bearing for 10 weeks so he would help me to the toilet in the middle of the night, get me up early (5am) when I couldn't bear lying in bed anymore, make me a coffee, then he'd go back to bed for an hour or two. Then it was breakfast, lunch and dinner, rinse and repeat. Lucky we had retired in Feb 2024 otherwise we would have had to hire someone to care for me. I'm now having a RTKR on Jan 30th so he'll be my right hand man again for a while. Hopefully I'll be up and mobile pretty quickly. Interesting to see you do the PT (grunting and groaning) as most videos gloss over it. I hope you're doing well now. xx

This is an area we have not been yet. Great to see this! That is a pretty inexpensive monthly fee. Bathrooms/showers look pretty clean! The pool looked like it needed maintenance..... Pretty reasonable sight prices. Restaurant on the Bayou looked interesting. - Jim & Michelle

Lose weight before surgery. Eat healthy before surgery. That will help you lose weight and fuel your body for recovery. Start pre surgery PT. I skimped on that and regretted it. Our muscles get weak limping and favoring that bad knee. And most importantly… stretch that knee deliberately every day three times a day!! Later work on building strength. I’m 12 weeks post op and feel good, but I will focus more on the above on the other knee. Oh, and try to skip the alcohol.
@WattsOnWheels6 күн бұрын
All good suggestions. I have lost weight since I had my right knee done and my left knee is now doing quite well. I'm hoping if I continue to lose more weight, maybe I won't have to have it replaced.

I like that one , I remember you staying last time , nice and accessible for Leroy and crew, definately think you guys made a good call seeking shelter , as you know Karen we don't see weather anywhere near as extreme in England, I was worried for a minute you'd return to Dixie and some unfortunate incident had taken place , glad everything worked out good , it certainly didnt look friendly outside that window 😲. I also like how you've stuck to your same sort of format of showing the area on a section of the map , I'm getting quite good at locations in America now , take care both of you and I'm looking forward to number 3 already
@WattsOnWheels6 күн бұрын
Hi Marten. Yep, that was a little scary. It was actually worse at the hotel than it was at the campground, but glad we went there. You'd be surprised how often I am videoing something or trying to identify where a campground is and think to myself "Marten would like that".
@martenclark97286 күн бұрын
@WattsOnWheels I'd certainly tend to make judgments the same , concrete walls seem a wise choice in unpredictable bad weather , especially from what others like myself have witnessed happening in America with storms etc .....I won't lie , it scares me at times even watching , Americans are so much braver in nature than the average English person ....by far 👊

Dave, I would take a serious look at the rubber springs on which ever side you went through that pothole, unless it was both sides. A jolt that hard may have put some serious cracks in the rubber springs on your IS system. You may want to look into an alignment check, just saying. Hope all checks out well for ya!

Keep up with your PT and give it time. Everyone heals at different rates. My guess would be if you are at 109 and keep doing PT you probably would not need a manipulation. The most I got was 110 and that works fine for me.
