This soundtrack described the battle of Samar (one of four stages of the biggest navy battle in human history in terms of total displacement--the battle of Leyte gulf), during the battle, Nagato and Yamato were only two ships in the Kurita fleet to keep the designed formation. Nagato's crew showed high level of professionalism--the ship was damaged by US bombs, and the speed reduced to 20 knots. But after half an hour of emergency repair, Nagato was able to keep 23 knots speed. Nagato fired her main and secondary guns towards the US task force 34 along with Yamato. But the smoke released by US destroyers decreased the effects of the gun power. Nagato was able to cause damage to a destroyer (which was mistakenly recognized as a cruiser by the crew at that time because of the low visibility). After Kurita ordered retreat of the centre force, Nagato, Yamato, several destroyers together with Kongo passed Taiwan Strait, where Kongo was sunk by a US submarine. Battle of Samar was the only battle in which Nagato actually unleashed her full strength.
