This was a great episode of the Beauty Bound Podcast with such valuable and transparent industry insights from Chelsea! Talking about a brand's fall from grace openly allows that brand the opportunity to publicly correct their issues (if they so choose) or completely look the other way. This is an amazing way content marketing and awareness in social media circles helps hold industry accountable without the need for over-regulation. Ultimately, the market, professionals, and consumers dictate whether a brand sticks for the long-term.

This episode was super-informative for anyone in the massage industry or beauty industry alike. Too many people are making the mistake of going through a non-certifying body or course and considering themselves as certified in a new craft… a slippery slope to losing your business and livelihood in a law suit! Great knowledge drops, ladies 👏

This episode is powerful for all beauty, industry professionals! We should always realize that no matter what platform we building an audience on, we can very quickly lose all of that and be left with our own knowledge and capability. It’s not only crucial to understand the nuances of each platform like Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, or other social media outlets - but it’s also essential that we’re able to still communicate with our audiences if things go dark. Great episode as always and thanks for sharing about the news. Glad to see everybody’s back in business!

For sure!! I think this is just another example on why we should have a website and collect emails in case something like this happens to anyone.

Another great episode! Continuing education is so critical for any professional industry, but especially in beauty where trends, techniques, and products are constantly evolving. Staying updated not only helps beauty pros deliver top-notch results but also builds client trust and credibility. Investing in learning is investing in your clients' happiness and your business's growth. Keep inspiring, Beauty Bound Podcast!

Great information for anyone in the beauty industry to know in terms of setting client expectations and self-care dos and fonts in advance. Common sense is not common and for those using a service for the first time product and care knowledge is key to avoiding a bad experience with your clients.

100% correct. We don't always have the common sense. I for sure didn't with the peel.

Good...and true...advice. It's difficult. "Am I going to lose this client?" is a common thought. I liked a meditation book called 30 Days to Overcome Guilt by Harper Daniels for staying grounded in setting boundaries for myself.

Hi mate, Love your topic great episode, I was wondering if do you know someone who is a Podcaster? You see... I`m taking my skills in a new direction and planning to help Podcaster fascinate their KZbin Shorts and Instagram Reels videos and retain viewers in their social media. So I was wondering if you know someone who could use my help just like I did to Café Con Podcast and Fast Break Podcast. Thank you have a good day! 0:34

Part II 😮😮😮 -We learn about what motivated Trisha to take a leap into the beauty industry, in pursuit of a creative outlet. -How to manifest confidence and let your clients manifest that confidence as well. -State boards then and now. How times have changed and the opportunity it creates for beauty industry professionals who are dedicated to mastering their trade. -Advice and tips for up and coming beauty industry professionals (taking the time to niche down on particular crafts) -Having to manually send forms using Square (Contract features as an additional charge for automatic sending), how to get clients to fill out forms in advance; certain contracts for certain features. Squares extra add-on pricing (contracts, booking, text / SMS marketing, per-invoice pricing) -Boulevard’s tiered pricing model (based on size of business, employees etc.); notifies artist when client has arrived (mandatory for clients to fill out forms before they can check in). How Boulevard can use an overlay feature to keep clients on your website rather than having to bounce to a booking site -Vagaro as a viable option? -Gloss Genius’s limited customization (why preference on branding may hamper your Gloss Genius experience) -Bobs, finger waves, brow waxing, hydrating skin care using retinae, medical grade skin care, hydrafacials vs. peels and aftercare, chemical peels (and why not to pick or ever put makeup on after)

The original saying is "Jack of all trades, Master of one." Meaning learn as much as you can, but hone in on what you're really good at. It then morphed into a sarcastic "...master of none."

No the quote is a jack of all trades is master of none but often better than a master of one

How to work within the beauty industry with or without a license. This is great information for anyone who is sure they want to be a beauty industry professional, but needs a stepping stone to get there. Maybe you’re just starting out and the funds aren’t there, or you’re already working your way out of any other job- this is for you. Not to mention the importance of confirming your client is there to see you. Another great debate on entrepreneurship: the chicken or the egg? Whether to go all in on your new trade/skill/path (in your industry), or take baby steps while keeping your feet in your current job/industry. Future Guest?!?!🧐🤔😏😉 Vanidosas Beauty Salon Awesome call on branding yourself with throw back to the While Supplies Last Marketing Podcast and their recent guests, Joe Miktish and Sterling Crawford (Do Work and Blue Collar Connect).
