And to this day 12/12/23 there are no wing chun fighters or wing chun peoples winning any fights,This man must be turning in his grave.

This is an extremely old piece of footage. Wong Sifu was still at his very best. This footage is both amazing and beyond value for any martial artist . Thanks for sharing

On KZbin you can see many demonstrations of wooden dummy. This is the by far the best wooden dummy form demonstration in my view. This very slim but extremely powerful man applies precise positions to the dummy. I have felt his power. It was both deceiving and without anything equal in power which I have ever felt since.

He can always feel his own center of gravity and change the direction of his bon sau so that all the opponent's force is directed towards his center of gravity. Although most of his muscles seem to be relaxed, he seems to be locking most of the critical joints in his shoulder, arm, and perhaps even his hip and vertebral column, just like when you are playing a low spin using your back or front hand in tennis. My 2 cents.

Funky1156 ] [ you act like he smoked it his whole life, it was only right there at the end when he was suffering with the cancer. And he didn't even like doing it he didn't do it until he just absolutely couldn't stand it anymore. This is what his sons and those that know him say. You still can't take anything away from the fact of who he is, even Wong Sheung Leung says what I'm telling you, he is still respected as the grandmaster and all of those who you say are masters now and he's not, those are the ones that call him master. Don't make yourself to look like a fool

from wikipedia Jim Fung (Fung Chuen Keung 馮傳強; 16 May 1944 - 18 March 2007) was a practitioner and teacher of Wing Chun kung fu and founder of the 'International Wing Chun Academy'. He had been training under his master, Tsui Seung Tin (徐尚田), since 1960. He passed away in 2007.

It still doesn't matter. No way you or anyone else is going to KO someone with a single 6 inch strike from an already outstretched arm. Its wishful thinking. If you believe you can really KO someone with that crap you should really get out more, or fight tougher dudes. Anyway I bore of this pointless conversation. Good luck.

Yeah, it's fun to tease stupid people. Religious, conspiricy theorists, wing chun guys, you know, people who blindly follow bullshit trends. It's just funny to get my own back on the majority fucktards that over populate my space and make life annoying just by their fucktarded presence.

No dude (coming from a guy w/ street experience, though I do Karate, not Wing Chun). On the streets, it's instinct. A guy may not come at you from the front, but from the side - many people don't understand that it's NOT a 'fight' on the streets. The first hit may be the last so it's not a blow-trading fest like in MMA. I had a friend who's a Taekwondo guy - great ring MA - did a LOT of sparring, but he said he just didn't know what to do when someone came at him until he picked up Wing Chun.

The MMA guy is probably more suited for a real fight than the wing chun guy, because he has been pressure tested in the cage. They have rules yes, but they still go full force and try to knock each other out. Almost no wing chun practitioners do this, which is why when hard shots start raining down on them, they will freak out because they are not used to it.
@FoieGras
@FoieGras 11 жыл бұрын
He can! But would he do it w/ the maximum efficiency? Or a better question is, would he be able to keep a level head if he's in a situation he's unfamiliar with rather than just a face to face confrontation? Physical conditioning and the so called "ground game" will only get you so far, but in the end, it's really about being able to survive rather than being able to beat up the other guy face to face.
@And-Or101
@And-Or101 11 жыл бұрын
Who says an mma guy will follow ring rules in the street lol? He can do the same things as the wing chun guy. He can poke eyes, kick to the groin, hit the throat etc. And because they often have better conditioning and a ground game, they would probably win. And I am a wing chun practitioner who has done mma, boxing, etc.
