The first time I played Mirage I didn't have subtitles on and had no idea this was even upposed to be William. Who the fuck has been voicing him since Origins? It's clearly not John de Lancie and the actor has never been credited.

Regarding Ezio Trilogy: AC Brotherhood has the best gameplay system, in terms of pace, action, exploration, side stuff. But AC Revelations will always be my favorite because of the whole plot connecting Altair with Ezio and finally with Desmond. The atmosphere of the game is magnificent, the soundtrack, how the game communicates to you that this is the end of Ezio... everything comes to this.

Syndicate is the best

I absolutely love Syndicate. It has been my most played game for what's nearly a decade now! But I get tired of slander and misinformation against Jacob from other parts of the community and from game journalism. The fact is, Jacob is the primary main character of the entire game. Jacob is the character the experience is built around. Gang wars, train robberies, fight clubs, street races and blunty hunts, these are all things built for the character Jacob, as things he would engage with. The entire assassin turned gang leader fantasy only works for Jacob. He's the one with all the narrative heavy levels and he's the one we play as for two thirds of the story, Jacob has a far better character arc than his sister, which Jacob struggling between being a ruthless gang leader and an honourable assassin, and Jacob's journey from reckless young man, to more thoughtful and accountable master assassin, is a great journey to experience. But evie is not just dull as dishwater, and 2 dimensional, she simply doesn't suit the game outside of the few levels your forced to play as her. Think about this, every in game tutorial features a picture of Jacob if it features the player character at all. The same can be said for london stories, last maharaja, and dreadful crimes memories. Jacob is clearly the intended character in these levels. It is also stated in game that the rooks are Jacob's gang, not evie's, and evie actually has a go at Jacob because she feels Jacob shouldn't be building a gang or going after templars but only focusing on the shroud. In addition, Jacob is angry that she "didn't help him" with the gang and associates, implying Jacob is the canonical character in the free roam activities, and side missions as well. Moreover, Roth only invites Jacob to dinner, because Roth says Jacob specifically was seen taking down the gang leaders, and Jacob asks if his actions made Roth angry. Evie wasn't invited because she wasn't seen taking down any gang leaders. This effectively confirms Jacob is the canon character for the open world activities as well. Finally the last maharaja and dreadful crimes. Last maharaja trailer and all of it's level pictures feature Jacob, not evie. Jacob is the character on the main artwork for the dlc as well, and the levels are often more dramatic and include huge fights with allies and gangs. The dlc is clearly written for the player to be Jacob. The dreadful crimes is much the same. Jacob is the in universe inspiration for Sherlock, and Abberline for Watson. Jacob even gets a Sherlock styled outfit for this dlc, while evie gets nothing. The player in the dreadful crimes has to slowly work out the plot and betrayal of Henry Raymond. This is in keeping with how Jacob is written all the time. Jacob had to uncover the identities and plots of each templar in the main story, and Jacob was easy to trust pearl and roth, until he learned the truth each time. This is much the same with Raymond. When the player confronts Raymond, the character your playing as aims a revolver at Raymond and tackles the situation head on. Meanwhile the twins you didn't chose to play as, sneaks up on Raymond. It is clearly written for Jacob to be the main player character in these levels as well. Essentially evie is a false protagonist. She isn't intended for anything apart from the content that forces you to play as her, and indeed she's not actually canon in the levels where you can choose who to play as. We know this from a variety of in game conversations and details. I love this game, I really like Jacob's character, but evie is the source of slander against the game, and a lot of misinformation that is designed to promote evie and undervalue Jacob. This has lead to syndicate hardcore fans such as myself to feel disenfranchised from the rest of the AC community, and I have grown from just not liking evie, to out right wishing she wasn't part of the game at all. I hope you took the time to read my thoughts, I just wanted to air my views as I'm a very passionate fan of this game, and honestly I'm fed up with how syndicate fans, Jacob and the game itself are slandered for the 2 dimensional sidekick that is evie.

Eivor is better than Basim. He (I picked male) never let his Isu side get the better of him or even succumbed to the fear of fate. By the end, Eivor was the one holding the wheel. Making choices that Odin, the king of the Norse Pantheon, has no choice but to follow. Basim was not only weak in combat or experience (I'll fall if I take more blows!), but an even less fortified mind that allowed the malicious Loki to completely enshroud him. After Mirage, Basim became a clown and a manipulative villain. Anyone who would choose him over Eivor based on assassin status is a retard (Eivor's skill count is a genuinely insane 537+, while Basim's is a paltry 23 at best). Never forget who was actually imprisoned, or by whom. Basim spent 1300 years rotting in a cave while everyone who ever knew him, Hidden One or otherwise, remembered him as a traitorous rat or completely forgot him altogether. Hytham is Basim's apprentice, and he genuinely believes Eivor is more effective as an infiltrator and warrior. Logs and Files of a Hidden One dictates as much.

Think you’re missing the point of the difference of why Eivor never gave into Odin over why Basim gave in to Loki, levels don’t mean shit, they are simply video game logic. The difference is Odin portrayed himself to Eivor as a god or a higher being, someone to give into and preyed on Eivor’s darker side of their personality, in the end Eivor chose family and community over the promise of glory or being a god While with Basim it was very different, Loki didn’t portray himself as a god to Basim, but simply an old friend, someone who gave him comfort in his darkest moments and not promised him ideals of glory or godliness but a sense of independence and thinking for himself Basim was never a traitor, he never broke the tenants of the creed or turned to the order of ancients, his past life’s grievances just took over, which makes sense, his son was imprisoned and he was thrown in jail and tortured, his previous life left scars that seeped into his present life which is why the jinn he saw in his visions was simply a manifestation of the trauma of his previous life. As for combat, if it wasn’t for Sigurd, Basim would have probably killed Eivor and by the time of Valhalla it shown he had grown a lot as a warrior since his time as a younger hidden one in Baghdad considering he took part in many battles with eivor in England and held his own pretty well Valhalla and mirage neither have the best stories in the series and neither eivor or Basim are the best protagonists but you have a very simple take on both characters on what makes them differ

@JamesSmith-ny2gb Your entire argument fell apart as soon as you put your point forward of Basim having "grown as a warrior." Basim IS NOT a seasoned fighter in either Mirage or Valhalla. Groups of enemies literally overwhelm him. Just how stupid are you? Bayek, Kassandra, and Eivor are easily comparable to each other in that they all know conflict and had seen it first-hand. They are born warriors with battles under their name and have all performed equal feats. Basim cannot hope to compete. If you seriously believe Basim is somehow better, when Eivor could tank a LOT more damage in the siege battles and not end up having to be knocked down and literally need help to stand up and resume fighting, then you are the one with a simple outlook on the matter. Can Basim stand a chance against Kassandra? Probably not, considering he lost to Eivor, who managed to keep Kassandra on the defensive. Basim is a joke. He has not grown in either one of his videogame appearances. The only reason he is held in such ridiculous esteem is because of fools such as you jeering him on. Eivor is bred for Valhalla and easily far better than Ali Baba from Wish.

What's funny is that Altair regards the existance of women as sorcery but when his own fellow assassin refer to Al Mualim as sorcerer he is quick to say that there is no sorcery involved, despite the apple being the closest thing to a supernatural element in the game.

Origins' theme is so epic. I will never forgive Ubisoft for not giving Bayek another game. He's one of the most important figures in the series by a long shot, only overshadowed by Ezio, Altair and Desmond. But if it wasn't for him, they wouldn't be who they are, he is the father of the Assassins.

I like and don't like when every Assassin's Creed has a part of Ezio's Family i like it bc of the sound of the voice, it represents when your about to reveal a mistery, or a free world what I don't like is that it takes away the personality of the game, the characters, and the ambience, themes like the ones in Assassin's Creed III, Assassin's Creed Black Flag or Assassin's Creed Unity (it still has Ezio's Family but it's more hidden) represent the own vibe of the ambience, characters and game itself, Assassin's Creed III makes you feel like your alone against everything in a war, you need to give your 200%, Assassin's Creed Black Flag makes you feel like a true pirate, no responsibility, do what you want, and Assassin's Creed Unity represents more mistery, and your the only one that can uncover eveything Basically, Ezio's Family represents Assassin's Creed but takes away the personality of the game
@spitz6784
@spitz6784 2 ай бұрын
Ezio's Family is the theme of almost every dedicated Assassin except the traitors like Orelov or Cormac. It represents their lives that is filled with tragic events, yet they do what they do for the greater good and have become a part of a universal Brotherhood - the proverbial thorn in history's side. ACIII is more suited to Connor himself, who is an unbreakable guardian of Freedom and he is starting from the scratch. His entire Brotherhood is gone and his enemies are not just the Templars, but everything and everyone that dares to take away Freedom. This quest of his leads him to lose everything that he held dear but in turn safeguard his people, the people of the United States of America. This is his compromise.
