depending on the length of your stay and/or your whole trip in SA you should consider to buy a Wild Card which allows you unlimited access at no further fees to any SA Park for 1 year. One has to point out that you easyly can/have to pay 10x as much for the priv. Game Reserves (Nottens) than for the public Camps in Kruger. There are a few with less but also a lot of priv. accommodation with even higher rates. Also the further north you travel in the park - let `s say north of Satara Camp - the less trafic will be,but also the sightings getting rarer except for birds particularlly during migration ( Nov.- March) One last point : i would recommend to bring cash at least for 1 car fill,because it happens that the fuel stations in the park are "offline" which means you can not pay by credit card and the only ATM as far as i know wich takes internat. Credit Cards is in Skukuza

Just a note - your dad mentioned that professional safari guides can drive off-road - that is NOT the case in Kruger itself. They are able to go off-road in the adjacent concessions and private reserves but do not book an overlander safari guide in Kruger and expect them to go right up to the animals - they have to stick to roads like anyone else.

Hiya 😊 around Olifants we enjoyed heading out of camp along the H8 then south down the H1-5 to the S147 one way road, S92 all the way back up to Olifants. The other one we enjoy is up the S44 to Olifants lookout then north along the S93/S46 to Letaba for breakfast/brunch At Lower Sabie you can’t really go wrong. We have had a lot of success heading done the H4-2 to the H5 turning then driving down 5/6km or heading North from Lower Sabie along the S30 Hope that helps 😊 - Tom and Emma

Thank you for your info on your video. I’m visiting Kruger for the 40th time since I was a child but have not been there since 2014. Bringing a pal with me from UK and booked self contained accommodation but obviously will have to buy braai grid and rings etc from the shop as we can’t pack those things in our bags. So looking forward to it for 9 glorious nights. I do believe a person with a Monzo de it card can just swipe and pay and it converts the £ into SA Rands so if I am correct that will save brining cash

Hi Tessa, awwh wow bringing your friend is amazing and I’m sure you’ll have a great time! You’ll be amazed at what they have now in the camp rest camps accommodation, you may not need all the extra bits 🤷🏼♀️ You’re right monzo, Revolut both work by contactless payments at the cash register in the rest camps and thankfully no issues with load shedding. Some cash is helpful just in case but we certainly wouldn’t take a lot. Hope that helps 😊 - Tom and Emma

First of all beautifull vid! What a amazing sightings. Can i ask you guys something? We are going to ZA and the kruger next year in October with 4 people. How do you guys manage to book 2 sanparks rondavels(bungalows) next to each other? Is this easy to do?
@RoamingRopersАй бұрын
Hi Vincent, It is not too difficult to do but I would also say that it is not entirely possible to do. What I mean is that you can make a booking for 2 rondavels and then a few weeks out from your trip email the SAN parks Bookings team buuutttt I know that they also try to ensure that all rondavels under one booking are next to each other any ways. I have never had them place 2 rondavels under my one booking name apart. Hope that helps and so glad you liked the video :)

Nice video. Really enjoyed it. I’ve never been to South Africa or even out of the US. I follow a lot of KZbinrs who film the wildlife at several reserves. My favorite lion pride and male coalition live around Crocodile Bridge. You can see the males on the S25, S26, and S28. The lioness and cubs was incredible as well as the two huge males crossing the bridge. The lion road block must’ve been absolutely incredible. Looking forward to more of your videos. Have a great day 💜🦁

Thanks for the tips on the sun birds, they're so fast and can look very similar. Im pretty sure that the Rufous crowned roller is just another name for the Purple roller so its the same bird but I could be wrong.

We just tapped the screen on the back of the camera on the area we wanted it to focus on to get it to auto adjust the light. Make sure you have your camera on auto setting though to do this.
