I don't know. I cannot give ANY expertise advice because doing this is VERY RISKY. There is NO real answer to your question, even from those who develop these tools. I am on an Intel, not AMD - Does that matter? Again, I don't know. I also have used another one that unlock/relocks the bios but the one I listed did a better job: winraid.level1techs.com/t/tool-lenovo-h2o-bios-unlocker-and-locker/38150 The question is: Do you want a bricked computer? All these unlockers are supposed to do is give you settings that the computer engineer can see but are hidden. Some of them are for running corporate servers (Lenovo actually has a setting where the bios can access their cloud so corporate computers bios can be updated automatically compare with the consumer who have to do it themselves). But there are BIG RISKS involved. I actually changed settings on some things with the unlocked bios and I did brick mine but unbricked it by pulling parts out and going with a very small bootup - one ram stick, different video card, etc. Tried different slots and configuration. It took a long all-nighter doing this to get it to boot-up SO BE PREPARED. And there's no guarantee that it will bootup. I thought I was out of $2000 (the price of the computer + upgraded parts). I was STRESSED!

The information I have read in the past 1-2 years is that the bios flash cause the computer to not boot. I worked on older computers from 1997-2010 and a bios upgrade was not something to take lightly. So I didn't do it and I don't regret it. Also, the overheating i7 and i9 intel chips problem is supposed to be solved by each manufacturers releasing a new bios to fix the problem. You don't fix a bad chip internal problem with a software fix but Intel doesn't want a massive recall on their hands. So the new bios might not address your problem but that one. I would recommend trying a different brand of ram. That's what I did and I got 64gb (2X32gb) of ram running at 5600. I haven't had any problems.

Unfortunately, I don't. Not every computer can have its bios unlocked. My Lenovo Yoga i7 laptop bios can't be unlocked. I just happened to get lucky with the T5 model.

make sure the ram sticks are in slot 2 and 4. I would take out one of the sticks and boot the computer. If it does, I would shut it down and replace the ram with the other stick of ram and boot up the computer. Make sure you are not wearing any static clothing and have good shoes on. any small static charge will fry the ram (I have done it myself unfortunately). Turn off the power and unplug the computer then hold down the power button for 20 seconds to let get any electrical discharge out of the system. You have to do this each time you change the ram chips or add more in. It is possible that one one the ram chips is bad. Did you order identical ram chips (same brand, same chip speed). Different ram chips won't work well together. Let me know how it turns out.

@@JPeeSki1 YES!!! MOVE IT!!! You CAN'T work on the computer on a carpet because carpets create static that can destroy computer chips. You need it on a table. If you can't do this, then put it on a non-carpet floor but NEVER on a carpet. Make sure you are wearing good tennis shoes and non-static clothing (cotton t-shirt and jeans are good to wear) . Touch the metal on your kitchen sink to make sure you discharge any static on you. I had to learn the hard way from ruining too many computer parts. I don't want that happening to you.

Unfortunately, I don't have any further information. Lenovo is burying the situation. I have not seen any recent posts. I don't know if its been solved now that they have newer models out. A lot of the bricking is due to flashing your bios to a new version. For me , it was best buy ram. I went with Cosair and I am always running at 5600mhz. At 12:45 in this video, I go through how to possibly get it to unbrick. The basic idea is to change the computer's configuration enough to force it to RESET itself. When that happens, it will boot with the new configuration. I worked on computers and building them from scratch using windows 98 to XP and some linux (the old days) so I am going off of old information but that information still works on newer computers.

@@AyberkTR2005 yeah I was a bit scared as well but I need this machine to run at its best because I use it for music and videos. It's running at 5600 with no problems now but there was a LOT of problems to get here (including booting up). A very LONG over-niter to get to this place. a LOT of patience and not over-reacting which leads to mistakes. But I was willing to take the risk because it is very risky.

Glad it worked for You! I have been switching from Windows 7 to windows 11 and its been a PITA. Trying to get all the software to work on Windows 11 that I have been using for over a decade is a chore. Picture it! has been so useful for me and I haven't found anything even remotely that works like it.

I change my power settings to Intel High performance one meant for my CPU (don't remember where on their site I got it). I upgraded to an i7 which put out more heat but I got a cool master heat sink and have fans located inside to disperse the heat. Then I put in a new 850w power supply to replace the 500w power supply. And last (but not least), I am running 64gb ram at 5600mhz (working on the video right now). With windows defender and all the spyware gone (with the CPU not throttling), its working well (temps are in the low 30's).

I am glad it worked. I use Picture it! 7.0 Express for all my photo cropping and could not find anything like it on-line. I was so much jumping for joy when it was working on windows 11. I knew there was a way.

My method may not work with all software. Some of the programs will try to replace their older dll's with Windows 11 and Windows 11 will prevent that from happening. Or Windows Defender could be preventing it from running (I have Defender and Updates removed from my system for personal reasons) which, in that case, there's nothing you can do about it. Microsoft basically "owns" your computer and Co-pilot AI will only make it worse. The second program I installed in the video was the Digital Image 2006 Suite editor. Couldn't find the suite but don't need it. I use the 7.0 express version for all my photo editing as I have been using it on my windows 7 since 2002. Love it!

It's a good machine but it needs upgrades to run faster. I replace the i5 CPU with an i7 and replaced the 500gb drive with a 2tb drive. It should be sold in the $800 range, not $1299 (and that was on-sale). Still can't overclock in the bios - won't work. But I don't need to overheat the computer. For a gaming desktop, look elsewhere. There's better deals out there for $1299 dollars. Windows 11 is the biggest culprit in it being slow. I have used a lot of batch scripts to turn off or delete stuff on windows 11and the machine is performing great.
