Wow lubing the chain once a week. I’ve been riding for over 20 years. I oil mine once every couple of months. If exposed to rain or dirt I will definitely oil it within a week. Which I assume you are riding it in to be so particular. Nice work. I’m looking at this bike. Deciding between this, the Hornet and Tracer 700. I’ve been in this state for about a month now with constant research. Thank you for the video.

I have the 8s and will look at the scottoiler for mine too, was looking at the vacuum model but the one you have fitted looks easier. I had one on my old bike and never had to oil or adjust my chain in 7000 miles. Just wish Suzuki would fit 90 degree valves as I struggle to get my hand in the front wheel when checking tyre pressure.

SUPER SLOW take off. I can eat a sandwich in the time it takes him to launch. I use wrist control and clutch control for blistering launches like a Pro. Rider assistance is for newbie that's scared of the bike.

Only a very brief stint on this motorcycle and you think you’ve got it all figured out. I have well over 40 years on many different motorcycles and this motorcycle is by far the best I’ve owned (only a brief list but, vfr’s, blackbirds, bmw’s, xjr’s, ducatis, etc etc, you get the picture). I’ve just completed an extensive road trip around the South Island and the Suzuki gsx 8s is by far the most comfortable (putting your comment on the seat, for example, as bs), motorcycle I have ever toured on. I spent 8 hours one day (only stopping briefly for gas) on the bike and still felt good at the end of this day. In future, to remain a credible publication, may I suggest you do more extensive testing before you comment on motorcycles you review.

Thanks for your input, we do indeed extensively test each motorcycle we review. Which is why this video is titled “First Ride” It is the reviewers first thoughts on this bike. There are further videos and articles in the magazine going into detail on this bike. As it is a long term test bike the opinions expressed are likely to evolve. Thanks for watching all the same 👍

I had problems to get the unit connected. My PC has 8 USB Ports, some in front and rest on rear side. Finally the Port where my mouse was connected worked with the program. 6 fails before. Forget different cables, use the one wich comes with the unit and try one port after the other.

I have been using thus helmet for over a year, overall i agree with everything you said, but the only problem i have with this helmet is the colour, colour near the chin area started chipping within 2 months of use. Plus i bought it here in India for 10,000/- Rs which is around 120 dollars

Hi, this app is no longer available for iphone. The new one is calles motorcycleapp and does not find your wifi networks. I am stuck here and SENA support is unable to understand the issue or give any help.

Some pro tips that I suffered through after digging through forums. 1- the wifi adapter can only use a 2.4ghz wifi network. Ensure your 2.4ghz wifi has no special characters in the SSID or password. This was huge. 2- There is a new Sena app, which I tried using. It crashed during network detection over and over. I used the OLD app called Sena 50 Utility. It worked easily! 3- Lights on the adapter: Left light red = Sena unit is not fully charged (not a big deal unless it's almost dead.) Right light will be red (no network connection) when new, then after successfully connecting to wifi, it will turn solid blue now and every time you power the dongle on. (If it loses connection in the future, factory reset the unit and start over.) Most importantly, if the center light becomes flashing blue, DO NOT disconnect anything because the firmware update is in progress. When update is complete, center flashing blue light will become solid and only then can you disconnect. Best of luck!

Hi zman, thanks for the input. i am also stuck at the same issue "no networks found" with the new SENA app "motorcycleapp" on iphone and the support is unable to help. Very bad quality of the app and of the support person.

C'est spectaculaire, ça pulse bien pour un bon départ. Sans pousser autant, elle fait déjà de sacrés départs, alors là...ça décoiffe dur ! 😜 👍. I didn't like the way it was mounted as per the web site so it took me 2 months to decide where to install it on my T7. I wanted it to be easy accessible to top-up the oil and be able to adjust the flow rate while riding. It took me a bit less than an hour to mount it. It took a while, but in the end I am happy with it.
